We have received numerous inquiries regarding our involvement with tonight's Jury Art Prize Opening Event. To clarify, we are not associated with this year's event.

Our commitment to delivering high-quality work remains steadfast. Unfortunately, due to differing values and a lack of alignment with the event hosts, we have chosen to step back from this project.

We appreciate your continued support and look forward to bringing you exceptional experiences in the future.

Thank you.

✨ JURY ART PRIZE 2023 ✨

This past Saturday marked the Jury Art Prize's 4th year running, it also marked Matt and I's 4th year in the role of production.
This year we curated an immersive experience that unfurled the Jury Art prize finalist's works into the Gallery Gardens.

The Silver Star played the star role, we projection mapped the train to display the artworks from the exhibition. To support the displayed art, we hired 100 Starfall Tubes, from our friends at LED Starfall Tubes, and designed led sculptures to highlight key zones of the event. The tubes themselves were programmed to give an impression of each artwork displayed on train, through colour palette and colour placement by each tubes' 32 individually controlled led pixels. We then tied the rest of the space together by saturating the surrounding space and canopy with a combination of complementary colours to support and highlight the art.

Below are just a few images from the 40 total looks we designed for the 40 finalist works. If you attended Saturday’s event we hope you enjoyed the night and thanks to the Courthouse Gallery+Studio team for having us bring the Jury Art Prize to life for the 4th year in a row!

There was such a great atmosphere last night at the Ganalili Centre in Roebourne. It a privilege to be a part of bringing the old bakery walls to life. Well done to Juluwarlu and the Ganalili Centre for putting on such a great event.

Congratulations to Jodie and Jaydon on their wedding yesterday. We had the pleasure of providing production including, sound and light for the band (The Mexicans, who absolutely killed it on stage) and venue and a cinema corner to keep the kiddies entertained throughout the night. 🤩🤩 WHAT A WEEKEND 🤩🤩

was an amazing night and we're so proud to have been able to create something, in collaboration with Sheoak Lane and The Junction Co., not seen before in Port Hedland.

An incredible amount of work goes on behind the scenes to put on an event like this and we want to take the time now to say thank you to everyone who contributed to an amazing night:

First of all, to the team at The Junction Co - Our business is still very young but we have a great deal of experience in the entertainment industry, The Junction Co has supported us since day one and gave us an opportunity to showcase what we're capable of. The results speak for themselves (even if I do say so myself 😛)

Sheoak Lane - these ladies are absolute creative powerhouses, the runways and styling of the event are a testament to that. We love your work and look forward to working together again in the future.

THAIT.Music - Yow is amazing, his talent blew us away. If you need a DJ we personally recommend him. The opening song of runway one was actually an original mix of his "Moving it Slowly". Here is his SoundCloud: https://m.soundcloud.com/thait_music go support him.

Shannon Blanco - my (Amy's) cousin who recently moved up to Hedland from Perth. Immediately agreed to be apart of the team and was the real MVP of the set up, pack down and event night. We appreciate you so much!!

Camilo Blanco - my dad!! Who worked extra nights building the box for the Pilbara Style photo booth and took time off work to deliver the golf buggy, Thanks dad!

Julian, Morgan, Alicia and Kyle - my knights in shining armour. After the show I fell deathly ill and reached out to find help with pack down of the event. With no questions asked, these guys swooped in to save the day. Absolutely amazing, I have no words.

Luke Jessop - thank you for lending us your golf buggy for the event, it made all the difference 🙌🏽 We hope you enjoyed the night

Care For Hedland Environmental Association - who provided volunteers to collect rubbish and recyclables during the event.

Sam boon - Pilbara Style's graphic designer, even with a million things on her plate she still hit every stupid deadline we threw at her, absolute champ.

Other businesses we'd like to thank are:
One 20 Productions - Audio Visual Hire
PCC Productions - Audio Visual Hire
PPP Events
Kennards Hire - Port Hedland
Phoenix Security, Training & Event Group
AUS Traffic Management
St John WA - Hedland

We are incredibly proud to be a big part of putting on Pilbara Style.
We thoroughly believe this event is a fantastic opportunity to show the world what we're made of here in the Pilbara.

We've also been given an opportunity to flex our production design muscles in the form of a wickard light show which is massively exciting for us 🥳

So if you've liked any of the lighting from the last 2 North West Festivals then you already know what Matt is capable of on a festival stage, so don't miss out on seeing what we can do when we're allowed to get a little bit more creative.. 😏

Absolutely get your tickets right now!! It's going to be a night of fierce fashion and a bloody good party put together entirely by local powerhouse designers, creatives and all-round rad humans 💃🏽🎉

Production Quality

We at North West Entertainment Services are proud to be launching our business in 2018, providing quality production services and equipment hire in Australia’s North West. Located in Port Hedland, WA we pride ourselves on ensuring the very best result for all of your events needs from equipment hire, sound and lighting design to photo and video services.

About NWES

North West Entertainment Services came to be after Amelia moved back to her hometown of Port Hedland at the beginning of 2017, wanting a change of pace from city life and to be closer to her family. Matthew joined her soon after, upon completing his time as Lighting Supervisor for Opera Australia at the Sydney Opera House. Matthew and Amelia recognised the need for professional production services in town and launched NWES in April of 2018 with their debut gig, The 2018 Hedland Youth Involvement Council’s “Hedland Got Talent”.
