PROVIDING A WARNING REGARDING THIS PHOTOGRAPHER.

So you don't have to go through what I went through.

I booked Sam Jay photography for my son’s first birthday. Extremely disappointed as he has forgotten about our event and arrived one and half hours late to the party after numerous calls. I had to call through another number for me to get hold of him as he did not answer my calls. The party was from 3 to 5pm, but he came only at 4:30pm.

He took bunch of photos after arriving late. However we had to postpone the cutting of cake and other activities. By that time the kids were crancky and some of the invitees left.

Even after coming late he was taking photos for the sake of taking. He was on the phone messaging while my guests had to wait for him to finish his messaging. Very unprofessional.

I also thinks he is very inexperienced in taking photographs with children, as when he was taking the photos of the kids instead of going around them and capturing moments he was asking me to turn the kids towards him to take photos. He just stayed in the same spot and didn't wanted to move around much.

After 2 days later when I asked him when I'm getting the photos? He is asking me when was my event and do not have any recollection to who I was.

I communicated with him after i received the photos but the communication was very bitter and unprofessional. His photos were not delivered upto the expected levels and missed most of the important elements from the party.

We sought advice from a legal professional and he agreed to refund the amount we paid.

Then he kept saying he “did the photoshoot for free”. However this was the compensation we asked from him for full refund.

Sameera from SAM J PHOTOGRAPHY is an extremely unprofessional, unreliable and unaccountable individual.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND his services to anyone. This has been the worst photography experience in my life.

Instead of acknowledging his mistakes. He was blaming me that I didn't remind him about my event eventhough I paid him a deposit and have sent him all the details of my event including starting time.

Please be vigilant if you have already booked your service through him.

NEVER BOOK any 1st birthday party or weddings with this photographer as he's very unreliable and if he forgets again your special moment is ruined forever.
