Trial and error is my favorite part of my job! This week I tried and failed so many times, my oh so loving husband said “it looks like our son made this” to one of my trial and error ideas 😭 But all this failure is my favorite part, it’s me trying, discovering, growing and without it, I’d have no flower so I had to throw in scoring my first sourdough flower, first of many to come, it’ll get better! Also got some new closet doors that’ll hide all my projects in the making 💕

I love my custom enamel pin from where they turned my flower drawings of my paper flowers into a pin. Process behind making. These short form videos make this seem easy but the truth is, making flowers is not easy 🙊 I have 14 years behind my hands and my goal is to bridge my experience to students to make their first few flowers easier than 14 years but your first few flowers won’t look as good as mine because behind my final flower were also days of trial and error, many attempts that didn’t make the cut, extra practice flowers before I hit record and I love every moment of this process. These giant mushrooms took a few days to process, few months of thinking and dreaming it out, and all narrowed down to a 30 second reel, really doesn’t capture the reality of making. Hope this doesn’t discourage you to try but know your first try won’t be perfect and that’s ok, enjoy the learning process with me 💕

Quick weekend trip to Seattle and made it in time to celebrate my podcast cohost birthday! It was such a beautiful day for a beautiful garden party! We also did all the Seattle tourist stuff for our son, we haven’t done this since I got engaged and it was so much fun and freezing 🥶 Seattle in the summer is where you gotta be 💕
