An avid Toronto and Detroit radio listener growing up, her classical and jazz piano and saxophone schooling in was complimented with the sounds of rock, motown, hip hop, dancehall, acid house, industrial, techno and jungle. At university, she served on the board of OPIRG-Carleton, DJed at the G-17 summit protest and co-founded and DJed at the Garden Spot, Carleton's vegan soup kitchen. In 2000 and
2001 Mz. Revolution hosted the Monday Morning Rise Up! on CKCU 93.1 FM, conducting interviews with indigenous leaders, protest organizers and discussed economic and environmental issues. It was around that time she chose her DJ name, inspired by Bob Marley’s tune Revolution. Revolution's first DJ residency was in Ottawa at Chicks with Decks at the Well. Seeing that Ottawa's talented graffiti artists had no venue for their works she organized Beatz and Piecez, Ottawa's original graffiti art parties starting in 2002. For many years, she co-hosted the Warning, (formerly the Friday Night Jungle Show) on CKCU FM. In 2002 and 2003 Mz. Rev threw down ragga jungle at the Shambhala Music Festival. While earning her Master's in Sweden in 2004-05 and each year after until 2009 she toured Europe, dropping tunes in the Czech Republic, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. Her favourite gigs included playing Amsterdam on the 60th anniversary of the Canadian liberation of the Netherlands, playing for the Respecta crew in the caverns under Krakow, Poland, rocking Prague's Cross Club for DNB League, Bass Beast and Let it Roll crews and and playing in the factory where the sputnik was built in Tallinn, Estonia. From 2008 - 2012 Mz. Rev and DJ Saxon ran Konkrete Jungle, Ottawa's monthly jungle jam. They hosted the likes of Marcus Visionary, Liondub, Krinjah, Jacky Murda, Rene Lavice, DJ K, RCola, Tuffist and Aries alongside various locals. Staying true to her love of music, Mz. Revolution has cultivated an ever-evolving vinyl and digital collection of reggae/dancehall, old and new school jungle, ragga breaks, uk funky and footwork. Forever searching out new music, she feels grateful to be alive at a time in history when we have all the music at our fingertips. Get ready to bruck out inna proper fashion.
