Two years today, not a single drop of alcohol. Two full years.

On July 18th, 2020 I made a promise to myself I wouldn’t drink for a full year. When I reached that goal I realized the mental and health benefits of not drinking far outweighed any instant gratification drinking would bring and I knew I couldn’t go down that road again.

This one simple decision has brightened my life in so many ways. My relationships are stronger, be it friendships, family, and love life. No more hangovers. I hit the gym 4-5 times a week without fail. I’m in the best shape of my life, including when I used to play sports competitively. My sleep has improved tremendously. My mood is consistently great. 99% of my problems disappeared over time once I quit.

I’m not here to bore you with 98723597825 other reasons how my life has improved since I cut alcohol. I will say this though. The most important area that has been impacted is my creativity. Since stopping, my creativity has shot through the roof. You can clearly hear this in my productions now versus in the past.

I’d never tell anyone to stop drinking nor frown on anyone who does. If it works for you, then it works for you! I’m just sharing a small part of my story to hopefully inspire anyone who is on the fence. If you’ve ever thought about quitting yourself, just know that if I can do it, you can too.
