Since becoming a mother, I often find myself thinking about my own mother. She used to tell me about how she and her grandmother would take special trips into the city. They would bring a simple meal of fried chicken in a shoebox and enjoy it with a bottled Coke. I miss hearing those stories; they provide a glimpse into history.

Following a prolonged period of six years in Pennsylvania, I look forward to returning to familiar surroundings. Although beautiful scenery and reasonable prices were enjoyed during this time – regrettably tainted by bigotry and minimal career advancement prospects for individuals lacking a Caucasian background. So long PA kick rocks with no socks 🥰 I'm coming home

Is it vain to toot my own horn? I woke up this rising with the flu. I mean chills sweats and everything. I was supposed to support my former church sister in love today and celebrate my nephews bday… you know I was gonna be there but I couldn’t talk with a coughing fit. I was not going to expose others to my sickness. My throat was sore and words were not heard as I tried to speak…. Well baby the only thing that I left from this flu is a weak little tickle in the back of my throat which will be gone after I drink this tea
