Romantic garden-inspired details were just right for Carly and Michael’s mid-September wedding celebration in Southeast Missouri.

Even though these two said “I do” in 2022, the photography by and our florals feel timeless to me! That last photo? Swoon!

We are presently gearing up for a wonderful wedding this week and then we will be relishing the last of summer before the new school year. Daily deliveries will resume August 22nd ✨

Locally and American grown flowers for Carly and Michael’s wedding sourced from:

Note: we did include imported white ranunculus in this wedding as an emergency measure. Ranunculus is available as an American grown crop in late winter and spring months.

Hi there, Dana here 👋 photo of me from spring when the bluebells, fritillaries and tulips were blooming. What bliss!

As we near the start of August, I can’t help but feel this year is flying by quicker than ever! We are already ordering bulbs and roots for the 2025 growing season 🤯 Truth be told, I have a few straggler perennials I still need to plant and plans for moving some shrubs around that aren’t getting enough sun. Oh and lots of weeding still needs to be done!

So much gorgeousness still awaits us as the season begins to shift into fall and I’m excited for cooler weather to return (but not too cold!). I’m not a fan of any temperatures higher than 85 degrees!

Reminder: we will be closed August 1st through the 3rd. Thank you for understanding!

Here’s a bit of fun—what do you call these?

We have a really lovely display of them right now in our daffodil garden. For us, they are zero maintenance in our zone 7a garden and the deer don’t bother them. Win win!

The scientific name is Lycoris squamigera.

Textural boutonnières are quite fun in my opinion, but the ingredients have to be just right.

For Laura and Paul last summer, we crafted these with poppy pods, sea oats, pieris japonica, Queen Anne’s lace seed pods, and cress.

As if that wasn’t enough, we also included hints of hydrangea, scabiosa pods and fern.

Poppy pods from . The rest is from our garden.

It’s July! The past two weeks have been a beautiful whirlwind, with two incredible weddings in both Southeast Missouri and the Saint Louis area.

Did you know? We source our garden-inspired flowers from local and American farms. When the stars align, we also harvest flowers from our own garden, like this orlaya! The greenery we include in our designs is also typically locally grown—most of it foraged on our property in Cape Girardeau.

We can’t thank our couples enough for trusting our process and embracing seasonal flowers.

Know someone getting married next year? We are officially booking for 2025! Let’s connect 💛

Our Coral Charm peonies bloomed in April this year—thankfully the magic of American grown flowers means we get to enjoy them for a biiiit longer.

The most special Vermont peonies arrived from last week and will again this week for our back to back weddings rounding out June here at CLEMENTINE.

So thankful for our couples who allow us to dream big with them!

Earlier this month, I felt like giving up on trying to grow sweet peas—until I noticed the ones I have in a bit of afternoon shade are actually looking okay!

I’m years away from buckets of peas like this photo I snapped when visiting six summers ago…but I’m a dreamer, so I’m going to stick with it.

Isn’t that watermelon pink so juicy? 🍉 hoping for at least a few stems of my own in June.

The garden is giving us so many treasures to craft with, it makes my heart sing!

CLEMENTINE is a cottage florist and garden-inspired design studio specializing in seasonal and locally grown ingredients for Southeast Missouri and the St. Louis area (weddings).

Especially proud to say we grew every stem in this bouquet, save for the hydrangeas, which are clippings from shrubs we are planting in our shade garden this week 🌸

It’s been a fantastic week prepping, harvesting and designing flowers for all the special ladies in your life. We had our own roses, peonies, anemone, ranunculus, mock orange, oregano, orlaya, ninebark, and yarrow to craft with. We are so fortunate for the loveliest peonies, mock orange and roses from ; Icelandic poppies, orlaya and roses from Bub's Bees & Blooms; and yarrow from Green's Garden. Special thank you to my sister for all the pretty spirea!

Eight years ago, I was two months into a little flower dream that I beyond excited about. Mother’s Day is a big one for florists and seemed like the perfect time to debut CLEMENTINE to my hometown. Our first event at Annie Laurie's in May 2016 was full of hope and jitters! I baked cookies and even offered hand-drawn floral art cards with the bouquets.

Flowers that are full of life spark serious joy for me and I am thrilled to still be sharing our garden-inspired flowers with seasonal ingredients with you all these years later here in Southeast Missouri.

Thank you for all your kind words today at Red Banner Coffee Roasters; sincerely grateful to everyone who chose our flowers. Also, I am beyond thankful for our customers who pre-ordered bouquets—I hope they made your mamas’ flower dreams come true!

We wish you the most wonderful of weekends wherever you are 💛

P.S. Daily deliveries to Cape Girardeau County will be returning to our offered services after May 22nd.

We ended April celebrating Jordan and Justin at the . Our garden-inspired florals with seasonal ingredients were a perfect complement to Jordan’s light and airy vision.

The blooming branch installation was a real joy to create for their outdoor ceremony beside the green. During cocktail hour, we brought it into the reception space to frame the couple at the head table.

As always, our mechanics are foam-free!

Congratulations Jordan and Justin!

Today is my mom’s birthday, and since I’ve never really introduced you to her before, what better day to do so?

My mom is the hardest working person I know. She’s a registered nurse (night shift), devoted grandma, bonafide plant lady, and also the behind-the-scenes helper for almost all my weddings and events.

In earlier years, she was the best listener to all of my wacky ideas and now helps me problem solve when I’m working through business challenges. She can pack a vehicle like a Tetris champion and in record time.

She’s always up for a girls trip, coffee date or walk around the greenhouse. She’s taken road trips with me to pick up furniture in other cities and even rides along on flower pick-up days to keep me company.

My mom is the reason I started asking floristry questions way back in 2013. Truly! If she wasn’t curious about running a flower shop, I don’t know that my life would be what it is today.

Happy happy birthday, Yaya! We love you so much and hope you have the best birthday week. Can’t wait to celebrate on Saturday.
