We regret to report that as of 2AM on February 20th, 2024, Mark Merlino (aka Sylys Sable), one of the founding fathers of the Furry Fandom, had passed away. This comes after news of his diagnosis for Stage IV liver cancer back on February 9th.

As of episode 119 of Season 9 (Bop It Face-Off | Byrdz VS BcB), the role for Byrdz will now be filled in by Furry artist and musician Neo (aka E ROYALE). The recast will not affect the original ownership of the character.
Byrdz (originally Byrds) is the 2nd member of the group and was the first cohost of the channel having started appearing as far back as season 2 (2010).
Byrdz would depart from the channel after season 4 (2013). It wouldn't be until 2019 that Byrdz would return to the group for season 8, with some tapings being kept for season 9.
