7️⃣ facts about La Alemana

1️⃣ Tanja Kensinger (La Alemana - «German» ESP) was originally born in Germany into a family with dance background - her mother was a ballroom dance instructor.

2️⃣ Tanja immigrated to the United States in 1995.

3️⃣ In 2005 she was introduced to the world of Salsa and received much of her basic training with her previous dance partner Nery Garcia mostly on LA style Salsa on 1.

4️⃣ She started teaching salsa in 2006 becoming a part owner of one of the top salsa dance companies in Fort Myers, Florida.

5️⃣ In 2008 Bachata crossed her path along with her dance partner Jorge Burgos (Ataca) Tanja has been teaching Bachata and Salsa workshops, and performing since 2008 at various congresses in all continents.

6️⃣ On this same year Ataca&Alemana founded Island Touch Dance Academy in partnership with “El Tiguere del Mambo”. Island Touch is not only a dance studio. It is a concept, a brand that envisions to spread worldwide.

7️⃣ Tanja speaks German, English and Spanish languages.

Tallinn Alemana Bachata Styling Team is dance team that is part of global Island Touch family. Choreography is created by La Alemana will be exclusively taught by Alina Paris (Director of Tallinn Alemana Bachata Style). Team represent Island Touch locally and regionally at socials, festivals and congresses performing under the Island Touch brand.

Island Touch Dance Academy is hoping to continue to create more teams all over the world that will train under the Island Touch Style while improving their skills and building friendships/families, that uplift one another. This gives every team member the chance to collaborate with other Touch Team member from around the world.
