I had the pleasure of touring Chateau Nouvelle this past week and was so impressed with the beauty and excellence of every part of my visit - from the architecture and impeccable care given to all the details to the welcoming and knowledgeable staff who greeted me and assisted me on my personalized tour. Everywhere I looked was a picture perfect moment inside another picture perfect moment - a truly stunning venue operated with the care and attention that private ownership seems to excel at in this genre over corporate ownership. From an insider’s perspective, this is a game changer for selecting your venue. I am looking forward to flowering here this coming wedding season ✨Also - you need to go visit their website for a full visual tour because I didn’t even include the elegant reception space in my video - the marble floors and massive chandeliers with all the amazing views were too distracting and I forgot to video because I was oo-ing and ah-ing 😅
A special graduation party for a special family - It is always an honor to be a part of big life moments for families - I’ve known Grace since she was little and now she is going to Yale 🎓 Side note - her mom gave me three prints from @libertyfabrics as inspo and said I trust you - I love when I hear these three little words and I always over deliver because I’m not worrying about anything but the overall look that stays in a realistic budget - thanks Amy for being amazing 🤩 Also, thanks to the ladies @chandlersevents for all your help!
Yesterday’s rehearsal dinner at The Historic Hillhouse was so fun for me to create! I love rehearsal dinner florals because it’s usually the groom’s family who are in charge of this part of the wedding weekend extravaganza. Designing florals a little more masculine, but still very floral has great results - especially when they go so well with the venue/restaurant/space 🙌🏻Remember! Florals are an experience just like the dinner, drinks and laughs had during this event. They are not something you physically own, but something you enjoy in the moment and remember for years 🫶🏻

It’s been almost 6 years since I nervously offered flower bouquets from the back of my husband’s 1950 International sky blue truck in front of Honeys Coffee. Something I started as a “what if” has become a business - one that has been focused on weddings that, for the most part, happen outside of our town. I love the wedding floral side of this business, but my original mission statement stated that I wanted to serve the flower needs of people in my area. So it is with great pride that I can finally achieve this portion of my founding goals. My local goals now include providing a much needed service to our area while employing local people to help and serve. That is the catalyst for @petalandstemlocal 🌟
@petalandstembyjen will remain our wedding division and is what I like to call our “black tie/white glove”service level - hence the black and white label with the “by Jen” label. Petal and Stem Local harkens to our origin story on the back of my old blue truck and is about local, consistent service from a local team serving our local community - hence the blue label. Scenes from this weekend’s wedding - Lindy is the reason I even started doing flowers - the first arrangement I nervously made, once this dream of doing flowers began, was for her coffee shop’s grand opening. Her flowers have always been yellow in my mind so incorporating several different projects we have done through the years into one event was fun and rewarding to create. Lindy dwells in the land of possibilities and positivity - she is a bright, shiny, fun-loving confident person who makes great espresso and conversation. Her bold and non-apologetic approach to life and business has been inspiring to this once very insecure, who-do-I-think I am friend of hers that is now a full-blown wedding florist who creates and delivers with confidence.
