Seven years ago today, I had the pleasure of working with a girl who had just moved back to the area. I needed an assistant bartender, and she was available. Little did I know, she would become a crucial part of my team.

Tanya, I know you're no longer with us, but I know you're looking down on us every day. We miss you. I'm so grateful for the photos we took together. It helps keep you close to my heart!

The joy was to know him and call him my friend.

My team and I are mourning the loss of this great man. We are heartbroken. DJ Bob was truly the best. He never had a negative word to say and gave the best hugs.

Bob, we'll think of you every time we serve a Diet Coke. Rest easy, friend. Watch out for all of us down here ❤️

I know times are tough right now, but please stop low balling your vendors or try to tell them what YOU think they should charge.

Do you walk into a restaurant and argue with your server about the menu prices? No, you don't. You pay what they charge or you eat somewhere else.

Just remember, when you're inquiring with potential vendors, behind all these small businesses are real people with real families and real employees working for them who also have real families.

Breaking the feed to post these two handsome men, aka the Terror Squad. God knew I'd need His perfect love here on earth, so He sent me these two. Being a boy mom is loud, smelly, and fun.

I've learned what "hittin the Griddy" means, that I'm buggin most of the time, and that things "slap" when they're good.

I love watching them grow and love being their mama!

Just kidding 😜 This little entrepreneur decided he wanted to set up a mocktail bar at our backyard employee pool party for all the kiddos who would be there. He served Shirley Temples, Roy Rogers, Dr. Rogers (as he calls it!), Cherry Lemonades, and Capri Suns. He did a great job and even made $19 in tips 🙌🏼

Based on those freckles alone, he's hired!

Welcome to ! Did we make that up? No, we didn't, but we sure can participate! Every Thursday, we'll post a new cocktail. Maybe it's something you've tried before, maybe it's not. Either way, it'll give you an idea of what to whip up over the weekend!!

We're starting our first one with my personal favorite, the French 75. These are typically served in a champagne flute, but our couple, Megan & Andrew, wanted to show off their branded lemon peels (courtesy of our bartenders Aubree & Amanda)

Recipe:

1oz gin ( I prefer )5oz lemon juice5oz simple syrup or 1 sugar cube, dissolved
Top w/ chilled sparkling wine
Garnish w/ lemon

You can also add a flavored simple syrup, like lavender, to add another element. Enjoy 🥂

If you're looking for a yummy cocktail to ring in the new year tomorrow night, try this Spiced Brown Derby 🥃

2oz Bourbon5oz honey syrup
2oz pink grapefruit juice
2oz ginger beer
**Place all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass and garnish with a grapefruit wedge**
