Gone but never forgotten 🕊️

Planning a wedding sometimes means that you are preparing for one of the most joyful days of your lives without the ones who brought you the most joy. I remember being informed about the couples plan to honour their loved ones who were no longer here. As they had each lost a parent I was moved with the beautiful idea they put together to ensure their seats were reserved for them on their special day. It was a priority of my team and I to make sure this idea was one of our most important tasks of the day, and I am glad the families loved how it turned out.

I specifically asked Eniayo and Eddie if I could share this image here because as much as it was a private and memorable moment, I am sure there are people who are thinking to incorporate their loved ones in a special way but are not sure how.

So if this is you, I'd encourage you to go ahead knowing that it will be beautiful and lovely 🤍

Cheers to the weekend!

The variety of drinks provided by for this special occasion was perfect. They kept our couple and their guests refreshed and entertained with a few tricks by their friendly staff.

💡 I always recommend that clients invest in booking some sort of refreshments during their events, especially if your guests have been with you for over 3 hours. Refreshed guests are always better and more patient that hANGRY guests.

POV: I don't want to throw my bouquet...

When I first heard Eniayo say these words, I tilted my head to the side wondering why? She then went on to share her excitement in her hope of giving her friends in waiting something much better.

Leading up to the day of their wedding, Eniayo selected white roses and designed bespoke cards to tie to each rose. When the time came to throw her bouquet, with the help of our coordinators and her Bridemaids, she instead handed each of her friends a white rose with a special heartfelt prayer on it.

5 EASY TIPS to help you choose the best wedding venue for your special day:

1. Location: Consider the proximity of the venue to all of your sites (for eg, the ceremony site to the reception, and anything in between) including accommodations for guests. Make sure it is easily accessible for everyone attending the wedding especially for those who have special needs.

2. Capacity: Ensure that the venue can comfortably accommodate the number of guests you plan to invite...and a handful more, just in case. It should have enough seating, space for dancing, and areas for your cocktail hour and other activities or entertainment.

3. Amenities: Check what amenities are included in the venue hire, such as tables, chairs, linens, crockery and glassware. It can save you time and money if these are already provided by the venue.

4. Décor: Consider the overall aesthetic of the venue and how well it aligns with your wedding theme and vision. Look for a venue that requires minimal decoration to achieve the look you desire and make sure you find out if items can be set up the DAY BEFORE and collected the DAY AFTER your event. This will save you money and could save your vendors a lot of time, especially if they have multiple bookings around your date.

5. Budget: Before committing to a venue, make sure to get a detailed breakdown of ALL costs involved. Consider not only the hire fee but also any additional fees for things like staffing, electricity, or cleanup. Make sure the venue fits within your overall wedding budget.

Once I entered the gates to Northbrook Park, it was obvious why Eniayo and Eddie chose this venue as part of their love story. As I walked through the grounds, it felt like something out of a movie. It was private, serene, unique yet homely.

With their Wedding Coordination in mind, I loved the fact that there was enough accomodation on site for the couple, the Bridal party, immediate family members and friends which made the morning schedule a lot more seamless.

The Bridal suite has its own exclusive corridor that leads straight into the Ceremony space also, so for Eniayo, her journey to becoming Mrs Kagatuzi was smooth and breathtaking to watch.

All of their guests enjoyed this flow also as it meant that once they arrived on site, they didn't have to worry about anything else until it was time to bid the newest couple in town a farewell.
