The Peace Arch stands on the international boundary between Blaine, Washington, and Surrey, British Columbia with one foot anchored in American soil and the other in Canadian. The Peace Arch represents the longest undefended boundary in the world and is the first monument built and dedicated and to world peace.

For the past year, we have seen Multnomah Falls (top left photo) up close and personal. She stands 620 feet high, and man is she a sight to see. We also found Vista House at Crown Point (bottom left photo) up a slightly terrifying little highway that provides a jaw dropping view of the Columbia River Gorge. What is even more jaw dropping, are the images on the right side of this photo. These are those same places, Multnomah Falls and Vista House from a jetboat in the middle of the Columbia River, which averages about a mile and a half wide. They are DWARFED in comparison to their surroundings. The PNW is an astonishing place, and I am so glad to call this beautiful landscape my home.
