She sings and plays the mountain dulcimer, old-time banjo, guitar, mandolin, and Irish tin whistle, and thrills audiences with her highly percussive flatfoot clogging. In a scholarly, yet humorous way, Aubrey conveys the heritage behind traditional folk music and dance, showing a deep passion and understanding of folk history and its key players.

Kim Fuller is a mindful photographer, mindfulness and story coach, award winning author, TEDx speaker and founder of Born to Rise™. Her passion is to help women stand in their power, their story and their beauty so they can live a confident and peaceful life. She uses photography to mirror the beauty she sees in each woman, empowering them to show up authentically in business and life. She is a mother of three children, one of whom is adopted and is her greatest spiritual teacher. Her book “Finding” tells the story of her journey with this young boy and the Dalai Lama. One of Kim’s greatest gifts is she is a great hugger.

Reading and writing was an escape for Marcia Ranglin-Vassell. Growing up in poverty and gun violence, her love for reading and writing blossomed amidst the tumultuous backdrop of gun violence and poverty that surrounded her growing up in her hometown of Eleven Miles, Bull Bay, Jamaica. It was under the almond tree, and with pen in hand that she realized she could travel to distant lands and experience the joy that was elusive to her in her community. Some of her early poems include: Who is God? Repatriation and Mr. Big Man. Her writing was reflective of the socio-political realities of her time. Marcia’s words continue to be a beacon of hope and guiding light.

Alyssa, a co-founder of ShePVD, is a community-driven poet with a passion for empowering young people through engaging experiences in the arts and education. Alyssa's unwavering belief in the power of community building drives her to adopt a "think global, act local" perspective, weaving her passion for education and the arts into every aspect of her work and life. When she's not inspiring young minds, this mother of two finds joy in performing comedy, taking drum lessons, and creating fiber arts, and writing poetry demonstrating her zest for life and her commitment to personal growth.

Alyssa and I are super excited to have Ashley Soto as one of the performers at the March 8 ShePVD taking place at AS220!

Ashley is a 27 year old singer, dancer and actress. Daughter of Guatemalan immigrants, she uses her music to proudly represent her roots. She’s performed on the tv show “Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento” in Los Angeles and since then, performed in California, Texas and Mexico. In 2024, she represented Guatemala at New England Revolution’s Noche Latina at Gillette Stadium. As a survivor of domestic violence, Ashley also now takes pride working as a 24/7 on call FCT clinician at Communities for People helping children and their families. Her work as a therapist has helped her inspire others on and off the stage.
