This looks to be an amazing weekend of performances! We will be catering the Cinderella Royal Soirée from 7:00 till 8:00 on both Friday and Saturday. Don’t miss it!
A trio of fabulous musicians creates the magical sound world of Viardot's Cinderella - violinist Maureen Conlon Gutierrez, cellist Elisa Kohanski, and Robert Frankenberry, who will play the piano AS Pauline Viardot's dear friend Frédéric Chopin! This is a marvelous musical reunion for three of the busiest musicians in Pittsburgh - Maureen and Elisa currently play in the Pittsburgh Opera Orchestra, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Orchestra, Wheeling Symphony Orchestra, are regular subs with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, and Maureen is the concertmaster of the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra.
This is Elisa's debut with Resonance Works, but it is also a sweet reunion: "This production is especially exciting because I will have the pleasure and joy of reuniting and performing with 2 of my favorite musicians! Rob and I played in Project for many years together and Maureen and I played in the piano trio, Trio Nova Mundi, together!"
onStage Pittsburgh said of Robert Frankenberry that "there seems to be nothing that [he] can't do" and we would tend to agree and are grateful that he brings many of the hats he regularly wears to this production as pianist, singer, actor, arranger, and associate producer!
Don't miss this superstar trio next weekend in our immersive "opera wrapped in a party" production of Viardot's Cinderella - October 27, 28, and 29 in the Studio at the Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall in Carnegie, PA. 🕰👑✨
