Soorya Dance Fest - Sargakshetra Cultural, Charitable and Academic Centre in association with Soorya Krishnamoorthy has been conducting dance fests on different dance forms in the country every year. Renowned artists from across the country have their performances during the fest.

A road safety programme was initiated by Sargakshetra in the year 2011. Beginning as an experimental programme with 100 auto rickshaw drivers, the programme eventually gained momentum reaching out to 11581 people within Changanacherry Taluk.

The major highlights of the programme include:

⦁ Road Safety training to auto rickshaw drivers within Changanacherry Taluk

⦁ Tipper Lorry drivers of Changanacherry Taluk given Road Safety training

⦁ Training and awareness programmes conducted in schools for teachers, and school authorities

⦁ Training and awareness programmes conducted for school students and school bus drivers

⦁ Medical Camps and Eye Checkups conducted along with the training

⦁ Conducted First Aid training for the drivers

⦁ Drivers who attended the training were given ‘Trained Driver’ label to be stuck on the windshield and a

⦁ ‘Trained Driver’ sticker to be pasted on the rear side of their vehicles

⦁ ‘Trained Driver’ ID cards and Certificates issued promptly to those who attended the training

⦁ Organized insurance promotional activities

⦁ The drivers were made to attend the training along with their spouses to create a sense of appreciation in the family

CAP@CAMPUS, a Cancer Awareness Programme was initiated by Sargakshetra Cultural, Charitable and Academic Centre since 2013. The inauguration of the programme in 2013 was done by Shri. Pinarayi Vijayan, Hon. Chief Minister of Kerala.

Sargakshetra has started its initiatives to support the government strategies to prevent and to rehabilitate cancer patients in the state. As part of its programme the trust initiated a mass programme called SnehaSandeshaYathra, a campaign to spread awareness among the public on the need for Hair Donation.

The first campaign was conducted in Changanacherry town as it is the home town for the trust, the programme had massive participation. The message shared was - “ MudiNalkam, Santhwanavum...”.

We at Sargakshetra are proud that more than 1000s of families have been benefitted from this efforts directly or indirectly.
