Chulita Vinyl Club is made up of femme, gender-non-conforming, non-binary, LGBTQ+ and self-identifying people of color.

CVC launched with the context of providing a safe space for empowerment, togetherness and to utilize music and vinyl as a form of resistance against the erasure of culture.

Tonight’s DJ sets are dedicated to our Los Angeles fam, especially our LA Chules. 🌹

Claudia Saenz aka Tear Drop is founder/director of Chulita Vinyl Club, all vinyl DJ, record collector. Her vinyl collection specializes in 45s of tunes from her roots in South Texas and songs that hurt when there’s nothing to hurt about. In a typical DJ set, you can hear her play sixties girl groups, Tejano, cumbias, corridos, rancheras, chicano souldies, Motown, soul ballads. She’s also the host of Mi Tesoro Hour radio show airing Wednesdays 7pm CT on Marfa Public Radio.
