We enjoy this treasure every day don’t we sussex county? It recently has been a little neglected but it looks like they are getting on top of it. We can’t let this one fall in to disrepair. Does anyone know what’s happening with it?

The Henry W. Merriam House is located in Newton, Sussex County, New Jersey, United States. Owned by industrialist Henry Wilson Merriam (1828-1900), the owner of the Merriam Shoe Company, the house was built in 1883 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 18, 1970. I am so sad to know that this beautiful soul has left us. Donetta Riley was such a truly great person. She treated everyone with love and respect and made it her life’s goal to bring smiles and laughter to everyone she met and she was great at it, especially with children. She will truly be missed by so many. She leaves a gaping whole where there once was light. 😢😭💔
