It was a Night to Remember in Cleburne at the JN Long Cultural Arts Center as Advanced Pro Wrestling had our second annual Gordy Hobby Memorial Show. It did not disappoint with so much on the line. There was a lot of passion and action to be had.

We started off the night with the debut of Bodark Bronson taking on the Sanctuary's own Balak Bridges. Ricky Jackson was ringside to encourage Balak. Bodark took early control of the match not putting up with Balak’s antics. He would beat him down and had many near pins. Balak would fight back and with the encouragement of Ricky catch Bodark with a big super kick and slam him for the finish. Your winner is Balak Bridges.

Up next was the Unparalleled Chance Fortune defending his title against the Natural Born Killer, Jak Calloway also making his APW debut. The two would fight inside and outside the ring with Jak taking Chance to task. It was not looking good for Fortune, and it looked as if Calloway would gain his second title. Chance would did deep and get Calloway on his back. Then fly off the top rope to take him out. Your winner and still champion is Chance Fortune.

Up next was the Gordon Hobby Memorial Trophy match with Big John G, the Aggtown Ace Alec Bullsdale, Tre Jackson, and last year’s winner the American Viking Xander Slade. Ricky Jackson was once again ringside with Tre and Rock Bannon came out to be ringside with Big John G. Big John G made easy work of the 3 others individually, but as they started to work together, they would get the big man down. The cooperation would not last long as all 4 men were looking for the trophy. Bullsdale would be the first eliminated, being taken out by Big John G. Xander and Tre would try to double team Big John G, but as Xander set up Big John G for the Gungnir, he pulled Tre in front of him and Tre took the spear. That left Xander and Big John G alone. John would make easy work destroying Xander and was left the last man standing. The 2024 winner is Big John G.

It was time for the Tag Title Unification Match as Jacked and Juicy, the King Outlaw Jason Bruce and Juicy Joe Angelo Garci would put up the Original Tag Titles vs the Supreme Savages, Dee Carter and Michael Angelo putting up the new Tag Titles. The match was fierce with both teams having near falls. It could have been anyone’s match. With both teams having given their all, Big John G and Big Sed came to the ring with Rock Bannon following and laid waste to both teams. The cleared the ring with them multiple times and sent them to the back licking their wounds. Rock Bannon got on the mic and said the Posse was taking over and they are here to stay. No winner and yet a lot more questions on what is next in the Tag Team division.

The main event of the night was the Heavyweight Championship match with AXL Savage defending against Exclusive Levi Lucas. Levi came ready for the challenge and took it to AXL right away. Rock Bannon came out to view the match close up and seemed very interested in the outcome, but mostly stayed back from the ring. As AXL fought back and had Levi on his back Rock pulled AXL off, interrupting the pin count. Referee Mack Lubich went to kick out Bannon, but Bannon returned and low blowed AXL allowing Levi to get the pin.

Then all hell broke loose as Big John G and Big Sed came to the ring to stand tall. They all started to beat down AXL and celebrate with Levi. The Savage and Jacked and Juicy came to the ringside. The Toyman Chris Hill stepped in and said to let the Board of Directors handle it but then Big Sed choke slammed referee Lubich. The Posse was in charge and everyone else was just left looking on. What will happen to Rock Bannon and his Posse when the Board gets together? There are a lot of questions as we end 2024 and will sure have some answers on the Squared Circle each Wednesday Night on Facebook. We will be back with more live action starting in January, but you can still catch up on anything you missed on YouTube and the DC Network on Roku.
