Today, I am feeling incredibly proud and just a little emotional as I celebrate a milestone—10 amazing years since it all began! What started as a simple idea has grown into a decade filled with love, laughter, and many unforgettable moments. Here’s to the journey, the memories, and everyone who has been a part of it✨

From the first 'I do' to countless celebrations of love, being a wedding planner has been the most rewarding journey. I'm so grateful for all the couples who trusted me to bring their dreams and visions to life throughout the years. I've had the privilege to watch hundreds of couples say I do. Made lasting relationships and have watched many of those turn into families.

I've worked with many phenomenal vendors and curated lasting friendships along the way.

Happy Friday!!!! It's a ME post! Hi I'm Karla owner of Petals and Lace Events... I prefer to be behind the scenes of events but appreciate photos showing a few of the things I do during the day.

I have a genuine love for people and I thrive off of watching people have the best time at our events. I am a people watcher and so you'll find me close to the dance floor all night long, I'm never out of reach.

I have mastered the art of the bustle and over the years have had some simple ones and some complicated color coded or numbered ones. So no fear, I've got this!

I enjoy the speeches but don't like to hear the groom roasted, it's not the time or place. I have teared up at more weddings than I care to admit but it's because I create relationships with my clients that normally last throughout the years. And yes most of my events end in hugs and tears 😭🤗🫶🏼

Small fact: I love champagne 🍾🥂 it's literally life 🤍🤣 any excuse to participate (except at work) and I'm down!

I had the absolute privilege to work Woody's last "official" wedding together. Throughout the years I had the honor to stand beside him and Evy as we would make sure each wedding would run seamlessly. He would greet you with the biggest smile and a bear hug and just ask about life. He genuinely cared about the people who surrounded him.

My heart is broken to learn of his passing. He was such a strong fighter and so courageous. Always keeping everyone updated so they wouldn't worry. He's a special kind of person, a once in a lifetime. Love you you will be missed by so many 🤍

It's National Wedding Planner Day 🥂🤍! (Didn't know this was such a thing). So to celebrate I'm going to share a little Friday fun fact about me. Even though I live in the country and have a mini farm I do not prefer country music as a favorite to listen too. My playlist can be anything from 70's to alternative 🎶🎉🤍

In honor of that and being one day closer to spring here's some gorgeous color and a sparkly ring!

Why you should hire professionals for your wedding day...

Your wedding is your vision, brought to life for one day (ONE day). There is no redo, no make up date, one day for everything to come together seamlessly.

Sometimes things can happen that you might not be prepared for, such as bad weather, a vendor running late, a boat ending up on land beside your venue (true story 🌊🛥️)

Hiring professionals on one of the most expensive days of your life not only allows you peace of mind the entire day, I repeat THE.ENTIRE.DAY from set up to break down, you get to enjoy your day as a couple, your family gets to enjoy their day and be a part of the festivities not worrying or working it. As a couple you should be enjoying every minute because it flies by so quickly and just soaking it all in.

Professionals have seen things, are experienced, have insurance (duh 🤷‍♀️🤣) and you pay for that experience and expertise to create wonderful memories.
