This year has been a slower year for us. I have to say that it didn't feel comfortable at first. However, this gives us the opportunity to work on the backend things that we meant to work on years and months ago like website (launching a new version next month), rebranding, and styling shoots with vendors that we admire. I feel like every business has their seasons. And each season brings its own purpose and meaning. I'm here to ride the wave and embrace each season, while continuing to progress at my own pace. Slower season means more room to be creative, figuring out the next steps to improve the business, and most importantly…more play time!

Is anyone else looking forward to seeing the first spring blooms? I planted about 50 bulbs of several varieties of tulips and hyacinths in my tiny garden beds before I went back to Asia. I just came back this week and was surprised to see some leaves poking up out of the ground already. I know it’s still weeks away until their blooms, but I can’t help feeling giddy seeing the signs of progression. 🌱🌱🥹

We had our last Christmas wreath workshop of the year with a group of wonderful ladies, and it was a blast!!

It was initially started as a private group, but we thought why not inviting other people to mingle with us too. The more, the merrier right? We had so much fun creating holiday wreaths together with delicious sweets and Hongkong milk tea🧋. Huge thanks to who organized Seattle Eastside young mom support/hang out group and invited me to co-host the class! Cheers to many more fun&creative classes together in the future.

Happy thanksgiving everyone 🍁🍂🦃!! There are countless things I’m grateful for and probably will take me all day to list them here. However, what comes on top of my mind are our wonderful clients, our good health, opportunities that came into our way this year, and most of all the people who are supportive and kind to us. My husband and I are quite low key when it comes to holidays. I baked my first ever pumpkin pie. We planned to have leftovers for lunch and possibly Indian food for dinner (because a girl doesn’t want to cook today🫣). We hope you a blessing and wonderful holiday with your loved ones. Thank you for following along this small business of mine. I’m grateful for you!

New friendships, laughters, good food, good time, and a heart filled with gratitude and appreciation for the attendees who attended our fall creative workshop with and I. Each and everyone of you truly inspired me in so many ways. You reminded me the joy of learning things for the first time and how time can pass by like a light speed when you get to spend time and surrounded by like-minded people. It was so fun and 4 hours felt like 1. And now I'm craving for more of those and wishing we could spend time together even longer. Cheers for more of the good time well spent. 🥂

Flowers hold memories. Sweet, sad, blessing, tender, longing, loving, and all sort of emotions that attach to those memories. The smells. The feelings. The places. Maybe Time Machine is one of flowers’ super powers?! No matter how far, how long, or where we are at the moment…..when we see specific flowers, they can bring us right back to that place and time. And this particular centerpiece will always bring me right back to Belgium and people who I miss.

Happy Mother’s Day (yes, my mom has IG LOL). This past year, I had a chance to spend more time with you in Thailand for 2 months traveling together, and the experiences with you sure went straight to my core memories. We fight over small things often but usually make up so quickly like nothing happens. Thank you for always putting us kids first and loving us the way you do. We love you so much! 2022 was our busiest year to date in the business. As a result, I had the pleasure to work with many talented freelancers, both florists that I already know and new florist friends! You know, us florist, used to joke that it was a lonely job sometimes because we mostly worked alone. We all got excited to see familiar faces at the flower markets and such. Trying to get together during the wedding season was nearly a mission impossible. This year, however, I felt so connected to my florist friends more than ever. We have a support group that we often share our struggles or questions. We even got together once or twice during the wedding season. I have never felt so much support as much as I felt this year and I know it's only getting better and better. Our community has gotten so close that you know,,,it's not such a lonely job anymore. I'm just thankful for my florist community here in Seattle and hoping more than anything that florists around the globe experience the same support system or however that means to your demographic.

Lindsay & Nick’s wedding will always have a big impression in my heart. It was one of the biggest weddings we have in 2022, but everything went as smooth as silk. All the credits go to the the most gracious couple, outstanding team of vendors for this wedding whom I love partnering with, and most of all…to my AMAZING staffs. This kind of day really reminds me of why I do what I do and how much I love serving my clients. Thank you for hiring me as your florist. It was such an pleasure and truly an honor.
