So many amazing memories from the Life Energy launch in the Maldives last month with ! It was an unforgettable experience to travel to this island paradise and spend a few days with so many inspiring friends.

Proceeds from the sale of Life Energy will donated to help rebuild the coral reef and invest in biodiversity around this special place.

🎺 Private View at Patina Maldives 🎺

“Life Energy” is a new body of miniature living paintings created by sustainability-focused artist while staying at the Patina Maldives Atelier.

Inspired by the old masters’ traditional use of natural pigments, the resulting series of 20cm x 20cm miniature ‘Living Paintings’ was created using sustainably sourced and natural materials, including ground washed out shells and corals gathered from around the island - a reminder to the art world of a necessary alternative method to creating meaningful art.

🎺 “Life” by Sassan Behnam-Bakhtiar 🎺

This weekend was a celebratory affair on the balmy Maldives island paradise as we unveiled a large scale, ‘Living Painting’, created behind closed doors in Sassan’s Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat atelier incorporating crushed shells and stones found washed up on the Patina beach and crushed into the paints to form pigments.

This permanent piece is the latest addition to Patina Maldives’ permanent art collection - joining the likes of James Turrell, Jose Dávila, Cassio Vasconcellos, Hongjie Yang, Hiroko Takeda, and FAHR 021.3.

Huge thanks to all our friends for making the trip to join us for the weekend!

Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% brought Italian flair to Silverstone on Sunday to celebrate its global partnership with Scuderia Ferrari HP and mark the British racing weekend!

The two iconic Italian brands, synonymous with Italian passion and style, came together to introduce “The House of Peroni: Silverstone” to the iconic racing event, hosting fans and celebrities including Daisy Jones & The Six star, Sam Claflin, Top Boy actor, Micheal Ward and more… watching the race and drinking Peroni Nastro Azzurro from the Italian inspired terrace.

LIFE ENERGY by Sassan Behnam-Bakhtiar 🇶🇦 🇲🇻

Last week we travelled to Doha with collector and friend to celebrate, Green Room client & leading contemporary artist Sassan Behnam-Bakhtiar’s partnership with Patina Maldives and his latest collection of artworks “Life Energy” which harness sustainably sourced materials to reflect an alternative method of creating meaningful art.

Some of Doha’s most influential gathered in the private room at the stunning La Méditerranée Robuchon restaurant for a delectable dinner hosted by Sassan and Patina Maldives GM Antonio Saponara.

In line with Behnam-Bakhtiar’s commitment to the preservation of our planet and sustainable practices, he now uses only natural pigments sourced mainly from minerals, wood, roots, flowers, rocks and soil, for the creation of his living masterpieces, also ensuring that the wood and linen used for his canvas/frames are naturally sourced and treated. A true commitment to creating art in harmony with nature, while being a much necessary beacon of change calling for assessment of the art industry’s footprint and implementation of alternative possibilities.

📚 Oscar’s Book Prize 2024 📚

On Wednesday we returned to The Ivy Club for Oscar’s Book Prize - the annual prize giving which was won by “When Dinosaurs Ruled The Earth” … A “page-turning” story about an adventurous dinosaur which took home the £10,000 Oscar’s Book Prize.

The picture book, written by Sean Taylor and illustrated by Zehra Hicks, tells the story of a little dinosaur called Smallasaurus and brings the prehistoric world to life.

A huge thanks to all our friends who came out to support this brilliant & impactful prize. 👏🏻 🤩

The award, now in its eleventh year, was set up by James Ashton and Viveka Alvestrand - in memory of their son Oscar who was three-and-a-half when he died from an undiagnosed heart condition – to celebrate the joy picture books bring to young children.

Celebrating the opening night of Cirque Du Soleil’s hit show OVO at the AO Arena in Manchester last Wednesday … just a few of our fabulous guests who turned out on a cold and wet evening! 🎪 🌞

The astonishing skills demonstrated by the performers culminates with an eye popping trampoline and acrobatic tumbling act sees the performers as ’crickets’ fly through the air and adhere themselves to a wall as high as a two-storey house!

THE STORY…
A magnificent ladybug captures the eye of an awkward, unusual insect who has just moved into this lively neighbourhood and the two instantly fall in love. The show plunges the audience into the hidden universe alive at our feet; an ecosystem teeming with life and unseen beings - insects that work, eat, crawl, flutter, feast, fight and court among each other in an ongoing explosion of energy and movement.

Celebrating the 43rd IRISH POST AWARDS last night 🇮🇪

Hosted by EAMONN HOLMES and LISA MCHUGH the event featured amazing live performances by NATHAN CARTER and celebrates the amazing achievements and success of the Irish in the UK.

The Irish Post is a national weekly newspaper for the Irish community in Britain and this year sees it celebrating the 43rd iteration of this renowned awards event. A diverse range of guests collected for the evening including iconic actor JEREMY IRONS alongside his wife SINEAD CUSACK. Jeremy collected the Outstanding Contribution to Film & TV Award and was seen celebrating his win with NEIL JORDAN who won the Lifetime Achievement Award and Girls Aloud star NADINE COYLE who received the Outstanding Contribution to Music Award. Other guests in attendance included musicians UNA HEALY and IMELDA MAY alongside actresses EVANNA LYNCH and LISA DWAN and famed TV host RYAN TURBRIDY.

Recognising the recent sporting achievements of their homeland, RUESHA LITTLEJOHN and GRACE MOLONEY were present on behalf of The Irish Senior Women’s International Squad to collect the Outstanding Contribution to Sport Award.
