’s wedding design was inspired by French Impressionism. We wanted guests to feel as if they were transported into a romantic garden when they entered…. To set the scene and .avl drew inspiration for color and ambiance from Monet’s Lilly pad paintings. We could not be more obsessed with how it turned out 😍

Everyone please continue to pray for our WNC mountains. We are completely devastated in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. The damage in the area is beyond what we could have ever imagined.

Please be patient with vendor communication as many do not have cell service or power. We have all been isolated from the outside world the last few days. Everyone is doing the absolute best they can right now.

The Mingle and family are safe. Thank you for those who have tried to reach out and check on us.

Our favorite way to fill a room and give it some dimension? Elevated centerpieces!

Adding a little height to your tables can go such a long way. There are lots of ways to do this without interfering with guest’s ability to communicate and see one another.

These arrangements paired with a bit of greenery suspended from the chandelier made feel so cozy and inviting. always knocks it out of the park!

With so many wedding venues in Western NC being a little off the beaten path having reliable transportation can be really important! Many guests from out of town don’t feel comfortable driving on mountain roads while others want to be able to enjoy a few drinks responsibly without having to get behind the wheel.

With so many moving pieces the timeline for transportation can get a little tricky! Trust in your Mingle planner to work through the logistics of timing, pickup/drop off spots, and more. We can connect you with reputable companies who will safely and professionally get you and your guests from point A to point B.

Pro Tip: Unless you are getting married downtown never assume Uber is an option… check with your venue to see if Uber/Lyft usually service the area or not. We find that they will usually take you places but a lot of times you can’t find a ride to pick you up at the end of the event.

This photo from Taylor and Drew’s wedding is so beautiful.. a gorgeous couple, stunning venue, and the most talented photographer ()

But you know what you don’t see? Their planner holding a low squat making sure they could take pictures in the Orchard without getting the train of Taylor’s dress covered in mud 😂

The things we do as wedding planners often go unseen. And we are fine with that! Having a designated behind the scenes person to take care of things, no questions asked, on wedding day is invaluable. Setup complications, a vendor running late, watching the weather to make a rain call… so many situations you probably would never even know happened all handled so that you can be truly stress free and present!

There is not a cut and dry job description for a wedding planner. It’s about being adaptable, thinking on your feet, and getting s**t done… and we love every minute of it!

Pro Tip: If you do plan to have any type of unity ceremony make sure to let your planner know ahead of time! This way they can make sure there is a table, lighter, and anything else you might need ready and on standby!

It’s no secret that wedding planning can be stressful with family dynamics, budgets, opinions, deadlines and more. A gentle reminder that in the end it’s all about the two of you and your love for each other. Years from now you won’t remember (or care about) your Aunt Janet being upset over not getting a plus one or your college friend questioning why the wedding is kid free…. You’ll remember the love you felt on that day as you started your lives together as no longer two but one!

Don’t get us wrong…. We love all the details and know that wedding planning can be such a fun process. Just try not to let outside influences deter you from enjoying the process and remembering the purpose of the big day in the first place!
