How has it been two weeks already!!?!?
One highlight of the weekend has to be when King Zepha left the stage to lead a conga around the festival. Were you in the line?
Festival FAQ
We get asked a lot of the same questions every year. Hopefully this goes some way to answer what ever it is you were wondering.
Also, remember none of this is personal. Most of it is the rules of licensing, the venue, or our liability insurance 👍
Beans On Toast 2022
Throwing it back to 2022; Beans On Toast on stage, sun shining, gardens heaving…

The FITG Picture Frame 2023
Some of the bangers we got sent of people making memories at last year’s festival 🙌
This time in two weeks we’ll be setting up 😱 We know many are desperate to know what time the acts are going to be on*, so for anyone thinking of coming on the Sunday, here you go! #fitg2024 #lovebraintree #letsdothis *Times are always subject to change (hurricane winds, guitarist ate too many jacket potatoes and ran himself over, etc), so please allow for this and arrive in good time 🙌
Festival in the Gardens 2024
Returning for its fifth year, Festival In The Gardens 2024 will take place at the Braintree & Bocking Public Gardens on 25th & 26th May.
Offering a feast of live music, kid’s entertainment, arts & crafts, food stalls and licensed bars, the festival has become a firm fixture in the early summer calendar for Braintree.
The line-up this year boasts a mixture of old favourites and exciting new acts. Back by popular demand are disco supergroup Miss Disco, who’ll be closing the Saturday with a typically flamboyant celebration of disco’s greatest hits. Sunday sees a return for Band Theft Audio, the high-energy modern party band formed of many members of Missing Andy, the popular mod-rock group who played their final ever show at FITG 2023. Sunday afternoon will also see a return of the nationally acclaimed folk star Beans On Toast, songwriter Jay McAllister who grew up in Rayne and last played the festival in 2022.
Tickets are on sale now, available at festivalinthegardens.com. Adult day tickets are £12 in advance and free for under 16s.
