Dear Beloved Adult Adoptees,
Greetings from Nina Nayak and Barbara Knowles!
It has been decades since our paths first crossed in Kolkata, and it’s hard to believe over half a decade since our reunion in Seattle in September 2017. The fond memories still linger in our hearts. The exchanges we had with each of you during those moments at Seattle were truly one of the highlights of both our careers and our friendship. Witnessing each of you thrive and embrace the opportunities that life has presented gladdens us. So too your resilience and determination in building new lives and futures was inspirational. The goal of fostering a network among adult adoptees of Indian descent, envisioned during our reunion, we hope has moved forward.
We believe in the power of community and the support it can provide in navigating life's journey. With this in mind, we would love nothing more than to reconnect with each of you and hear more about the paths you've traveled since we last met.
Considering the geographical distances and the constraints of time, we are organizing an online reunion for SICW adoptees. This will provide a wonderful opportunity for all to catch up with others, share experiences, and reminisce about our shared journey. This will allow adoptees who were not able to join the Seattle reunion to participate. So too others whom any of you are in touch with if you share their contact details.
The date of the online SICW reunion is SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 29.
