Okay. I feel like I and Maryann have actually become grandparents of a sort. We followed Emma Forgette all over Friday and Saturday. We love this young woman and it's always a pleasure to hear her sing.

Hi Everyone.
We have discovered that we have been having our quarterly Dance Party for 10 years.

To celebrate this we are having a special event at Seabreeze Rec Ctr on 7-28-24.
This is a free show for all with a Villages ID or Guest Pass.
This will be a ticketed event.

To get tickets please email us at [email protected].
You can also get tickets at doo-wop on the porch which is on Saturday mornings around the corner from Sonny’s BBQ at 9am.
See Maryann or myself before or after Doo-Wop.

We will be having great entertainment featuring:
Bobby V, Heart2Heart, Emma Forgette and of course yours truly.

Doors open at 4:30 and BYOB and a snack
There will be a 50/50 (6 tickets for $5.00)

Had a great time at Eaton's Beach today. Really good food and good company. Of course the best thing was Emma Forgette performing for us. Unbelievable singer.

Gospel Mk 10:1-12
Jesus came into the district of Judea and across the Jordan.
Again crowds gathered around him and, as was his custom,
he again taught them.
The Pharisees approached him and asked,
"Is it lawful for a husband to divorce his wife?"
They were testing him.
He said to them in reply, "What did Moses command you?"
They replied,
"Moses permitted a husband to write a bill of divorce
and dismiss her."
But Jesus told them,
"Because of the hardness of your hearts
he wrote you this commandment.
But from the beginning of creation, God made them male and female.
For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother
and be joined to his wife,
and the two shall become one flesh.
So they are no longer two but one flesh.
Therefore what God has joined together,
no human being must separate."
In the house the disciples again questioned Jesus about this.
He said to them,
"Whoever divorces his wife and marries another
commits adultery against her;
and if she divorces her husband and marries another,
she commits adultery."

Gal 5:16-25

Brothers and sisters, live by the Spirit
and you will certainly not gratify the desire of the flesh.
For the flesh has desires against the Spirit,
and the Spirit against the flesh;
these are opposed to each other,
so that you may not do what you want.
But if you are guided by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
Now the works of the flesh are obvious:
immorality, impurity, lust, idolatry,
sorcery, hatreds, rivalry, jealousy,
outbursts of fury, acts of selfishness,
dissensions, factions, occasions of envy,
drinking bouts, or**es, and the like.
I warn you, as I warned you before,
that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
In contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, generosity,
faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.
Against such there is no law.
Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified their flesh
with its passions and desires.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also follow the Spirit.

Just want to thank all of you who came out to the Uncle Pepe Dance Party last evening. It was an amazing crowd 119 strong and it looked like everyone had a great time. The next show will be on July 28th and once again we are hiring Miss Emma Forgette's Music to come join us. She was amazing last night.

Hi there everyone

Just a little blurb to remind you that on Sunday 4-28-24 we will be having the Uncle Pepe Dance Party at Captiva recreation center.
Doors open at 4:30. There will be coffee and a 50/50.

HEART2HEART will be leading the entertainment and of course we invite all vocalist to bring a thumb drive with at least 2 songs so they can join in and be a big part of the party.

The great news is that we have once again hired Miss Emma Forgette to be our special guest vocalist. If you have been lucky enough to hear her that’s great if you have not this is your chance to hear what a wonderful 19 year old can do.

As always this is a free show and all those with a Villages ID are welcome. Bring a snack and BYOB. Come join us for a really good time.

Hi All

Sometimes God smiles on me in ways I don’t expect.
I have been accepted into a great rock band that has been around for a while.

They are the Fabulous Mosaics and I am their new male lead singer.
They are 2 guitars, bass and drums and they are wonderful.
Their female lead singer is Linda Freeman. The musicians in the band also vocalize and are great.

We rehearse at Aviary recreation center every 1st & 3rd Wednesday each month from 1 to 4. It is an open rehearsal but because it is not in a theater room we would love for all to email us at [email protected] so we can get some idea of how many seats we will need. If you can’t email show up anyway LOL we will deal with it.
