The Afro European Xcellence Festival 2024 is a celebration of this vibrant community, showcasing the incredible talent, creativity, and cultural contributions of people of African descent across Europe.
For our second event, happening from Friday, November 29th, to Saturday, November 30th, we’re bringing together a diverse lineup of dancers, singers, performers, visual artists, and more in Berlin.
This festival is not just for those with African heritage, it’s an open invitation to everyone to celebrate and explore Afro-European culture.

Through music, events and fashion we will continuously spread a forward thinking, unexpected, sometimes provocative but most of all positive lifestyle inspired by AFRICA! Freak de l’Afrique is a Berlin based collective of DJs, promoters and producers who share a common passion for electrifying African club music.

The movement started in 2012 when the first members of the collective threw their first party named Afro Heat at the legendary Cookies nightclub. Over the following years more and more members joined the group playing national and international gigs throughout Europe and Africa.

Events played: Fusion Festival, Red Bull Music Festival, Splash Festival, Hype Festival, East Africa Tour with Goethe Institut, MHD opening show in Berlin & Cologne, Black Atlantica stage at Berlin Carnival of Cultures, Kassel Documenta, Malek Berry opening show, Dandy Diary, Poetry meets Afrosoul, Winner of Afrobeats vs Dancehall Soundclash......
