There are a lot of plants that I have missed out on growing because by September, October I am spent. After spending 5 months doing intense battle with bugs, heat and weeds I have no interest in pulling out plants or starting seeds.

Since I didn’t really grow a food garden this year I have some extra enthusiasm for the garden.

Here I have filled some grow bags with wood, pine needles etc. put some potting soil mixed with compost on top and planted some daffodils and tulips. On top of the bulbs I planted some herbs! There are carrots in the other bag.

So excited to garden in some reasonable weather!! What are you guys growing?

We were pretty hard by Hurricane Idalia. We got lucky this time that our power was restored quickly, unlike most in our area.

We did have a currently undetermined number of trees fall onto our property from an adjacent property. It’s at least 14 but we haven’t been able to access a portion of our almost 1 acre property to get an accurate count.

Because of all of the damage and the insane amount of clean up we still have to do I won’t be able to keep up with the flower farm.

Please bear with us while the stand is closed and we are flowerless. 😞

I think these Teddy Bear Sunflowers will be returning next year!! They’re so fun!

My little pawpaw babies are doing very well! I need to up pot them soon.

I grew these guys from seed I ordered online. 6/10 isn’t too shabby! They take fooooorever to germinate. I thought they were gonners and I had to help a few get out of those crazy hard shells, but they were really hardy after that. Most of the leaves ripped when I helped them but they came back strong!
