The aroma from the buffet tables is undeniably distinctive and delectable. Trays of hickory s

moked brisket, chicken, and pork call to the innate caveman in all of us. The bark of the flesh is mouthwateringly ebonied from twelve hours of smoking, while its core is succulent and tender, surrendering from the bone and ready to be devoured. Your eyes reluctantly depart from the divine meats as they catch a tray of golden gooey macaroni and cheese like none they have ever been so blessed to to gaze upon. And to think you were going to skip this gathering to catch up on lost episodes of 'The Biggest Loser.' Your belly would have never forgiven you for missing the warm potato salad and creamy cool slaw... mmm... mm... mm. You realize, at that moment, that Good Food Always Prevails, and that it would have been you who secured the title of 'biggest loser!'
