The traditional theme for a 40th anniversary is ‘Ruby’

A ruby gemstone comes in a multitude of shades between dark reds and light pinks which I really wanted to represent through florals.

Together with my sisters, we planned & hosted an intimate event in celebration of our parents 40th ‘Ruby’ Anniversary.

As a florist, the reality of working with nature is that sometimes you make an order weeks in advance and then get told from your supplier on market day that they are not available. Unfortunately this was the case for Tasha’s white roses.

After calling every supplier in Melbourne, I was so happy to find these beautiful Playa Blanca roses to create Tasha’s dream bouquet.

*Shoutout to Tasha for being so understanding and open to other options though!

Events by Shann specialises in the Planning & Styling of Weddings & Events.

Founded in 2018 by Shannon Cook & supported by her husband Brad Cook, the business was a result of the success of their wedding. With a qualification in Events Management and a current job at a popular Online Wedding Directory, Shannon used her experience and knowledge of the industry to create ExS.

With a small following on Instagram, Shannon sought interest of her services from family & friends. With the support of many, it wasn't long until she had enough content to show the world what she could do.

Events by Shann has now added services such as Hire, Floristry, Grazing Tables and Personalised Decor & Signage. Focusing on providing current trends at affordable prices.
