“Old kahs” draw a crowd at Tilt’n Diner’s Cruise Night

TILTON — After a rain cancellation the previous week, the Tilton-Northfield Rotary held their annual Cruise Night at Tilt’n Diner last Thursday with dozens of “old kahs,” classic cars and even a couple of race cars on display for the everyone who stopped by to enjoy the summer evening.
Beginning at 5 p.m., people of all ages began to arrive to take a good look at all the vehicles and try to pick out which of them was their favorite. It was a tough decision for many. Antique Model T’s classic pick-up trucks, some “beefed up” Corvettes and muscle cars and even a nostalgic VW Camper van were all eye-catching. Those interested in mechanics got to look under the hoods to see what technology was involved or ask questions about the parts and power they had. Some were in the process of restoring their own classic or antique vehicle and sought advice from owners, while others simply admired the beauty of each, both inside and out.
A cute little VW Beetle, stylized as the Herbie the Love Bug car from the famed Disney movie, drew a lot of attention, as did the mini-Sprint car owned by Triston “Big T” Puffingburger of Franklin, which he races at Legion Speedway in Wentworth each year.
Dumka Productions provided lively music that filled the air as everyone strolled by the vehicles while Fred Caruso of 94.1FM radio did a live broadcast from the event. Throughout the night many got in line to enjoy the Rotary Club’s barbecue and bought tickets for the 50/50 raffles held that night as well.
All funds raised by the car show and barbecue benefitted both the Tilton-Northfield Rotary’s charitable community causes as well as their scholarship programs, and this year were also earmarked to assist Northfield’s Pines Park Committee with the cost of renovations to their horse arena.

Load-in Begins @ 07:00 sharp! Dumka Productions on site at the Albany Capital Center deploying our Turbosound sound system for front of house at the event. We are also deploying Electro-Voice and Mackie sound systems to assist in other parts of the venue. Great to be working with the staff here and along C9 Audio Visual to make this event happen.

Dumka Productions was proud to provide C9 Audio Visual with an audio system for the FIRST FTC New England Robotics Invitational at the Big E Fairgrounds in Springfield, Massachusetts. Dumka Productions provided a sound system comprising of Turbosound iQ series loudspeakers driven by a Behringer Digital Mixer. This ensured that the event could be heard in the Mallary Complex clear as day.
