The last sunrise we will see in Naples for a while!

So the last month has been an absolute whirlwind. We sold our house,bought another one and are relocating to Michigan to be near our families.

Being a wedding officiant has truly been an honor and I will always be grateful for the over 400 weddings I was able to be a part of.

Thank you to the many wonderful vendors and venues who I had the pleasure of working with. Over 8 years ago when I made the decision to start a business, I never dreamed my love of weddings would turn into such an amazing journey.

A special thank you to Joan for being a wonderful mentor even though it started out the other way around! When we come back, and we will; we will definitely get together.💕

Shangri-La Springs was able to accommodate this beautiful couple when the original venue the secured had not completed repairs from the hurricane damage. They pulled it all together in just two weeks! Wishing Gwen and Dillon the very best for a bright future together. 💗

This was a beautiful unique wedding. The couple spent a lot of time in Malaysia and wanted to infuse that culture into their wedding. From traditional wedding attire, to aspects of the decor and a special lotus ceremony during their wedding, it was a gorgeous day. This was a fun one! Congratulations to David and Jennifer!

He has won the Nobel Peace Prize for work to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts and a strong advocate for human rights and Habitat for Humanity. Thinking of him today on this Presidents Day as he nears the end of his remarkable life.

I loved getting to know the details of Nicole and Patrick ‘s love story through the process of writing their custom ceremony for their wedding today. I always connect with the bride and groom before the ceremony so they know I have arrived. This was taken before the ceremony began at Alderman House in Fort Myers. She looked gorgeous! The City of Naples is allowing for beach weddings once again after Hurricane Ian put a freeze on saying “I Do” in the sand.

The city decided to shut down beach weddings in Jan. It said it was so they could rebuild after the hurricane.

There was damage at almost all of the 40 beach accesses. Not only did this force couples to reschedule or cancel their dream weddings.

But it has also impacted small businesses that set up beach weddings like mine! So happy to offer beautiful beaches to hold weddings!

VOWS ARE THE HEART SPEAKING OUT LOUD.

When I talk to couples about writing their vows, many do not know where to begin. I tell them the line above. As an Officiant, I hear A LOT of vows and it always amazes me how beautiful they turn out to be if you just say what is in your heart.

There are no rules for personal vows except to remember these are promises for a lifetime with your person.

So when you are faced with writing vows to the one you love, just listen to what your heart is telling you and write that. 💕

This story is relevant to the picture, I promise.

A couple weeks ago while visiting my brother in Hilton Head, I was parked at the grocery store. The store was located among lots of other stores. I was backing out of the parking space which was located adjacent to a road that went through the area. There was a stop sign about 50 feet from my space. So I began backing out as there was not a car coming. As a car had approached the sign, I now was moving. A lady alone in her car, started honking at me, yelling something and waving her arms angrily. I looked at her like what are you doing? I must have stopped mid way out of the space for a split second because I was quite surprised by her anger. I continued moving back which made her even more angry. At this point she is now creeping up past the sign towards me daring me to continue.

Now in this case, it could go several ways. I contemplated getting out of my car and asking her what I did to make her angry, or ask her if she needed a hug, or flip her off and keep moving. But I decided if she has to live with that much anger in her life, I can just go right back in my space and let her pass. She must need to get somewhere fast.

The point is we all have choices everyday. I choose the path that each new day we can find joy or not. It’s your choice.

The world is full of very angry people. Just watch the news! But if we had more people choosing to see the joy in the smallest of things each day, then it would be a better world. That’s what this sunrise this morning made me think of. Choose to have a great day. ❤️
