J+T engagement celebrations 🥃

If you’re debating doing engagement photos this post is for you. When I was a bride, before becoming a wedding planner, I also thought engagement photos were unnecessary. Now as a planner I’ve realized that the actual photos are the least important part of the process.

The reason you do engagement photos are to:

• Get to know your photographer on a more personal level before your wedding day. The photographer is probably the vendor you’ll be with most on your wedding day, besides your planner. So spend some time with them on a day without all the pressure.

• Get some practice infront of the camera before your wedding day. Unless you’re a professional model, everyone is awkward infront of a camera. It’s great to be able to have some practice with your partner before the wedding weekend.

• Learn which poses you like best. The engagement session is a great way to learn how your photographer will pose you or guide you into poses. Once you receive the photos, you can see which poses you liked best to prioritize on your wedding day.

• And last but not least, who doesn’t love an excuse to get dressed up and have a fun date that’s documented.

I’ve been soaking in alot of family time with the new addition to our family, so I felt it was quite fitting to share some of my brother and soon to be sister-in-law’s engagement photos. It helps that they are basically models 🤌

We've decided to host F O U R top-notch hangs in 2023 to ensure each hang is a rad meet up for all our Friendors. We're making our rounds to VA, Frederick, DC, and a Baltimore one to come, to reach all our amazing vendor friends. We hope you can make it to one or all this year!

Each year we like to post some goals or acknowledgements to lead us into the New Year. Although we’re moving further and further away from the obstacles we’ve been facing over the last three years, there are still some factors affecting the world, especially the events industry. What we did see last year though was everyone’s desire and urge to celebrate together again. And, celebrate they did ✨

This year we’ve written some New Years goals/acknowledgements/mantras to take into the season with us:

• Continue to help people come together to celebrate love

• Work with each of our clients to deliver their perfect wedding vision to the absolute best of our ability

• Remember to continually give grace and understanding to anyone still facing obstacles with inventory, staffing, etc.

• And, forever continue to work hard each day to rock it all 🖤
