Years ago before Soundcloud existed I ran a internet radio station that streamed DJ mixes 24/7. It was called Filtered Radio and featured artist such as Chris Leibing, Mark Knight and many others. Although I loved the project, it was more than I could handle and I dissolved the station.

With the great magnitude of music being released and dj mixes available I've decided to relaunch Filtered Radio; this time more personal with my live gig recordings, studio mixes, and select guest mixes.

Filtered Radio is here to filter the noise and bring you the deep, driving sounds I've been known to share. Episode 001 was recorded live in Detroit at the Magic Stick when I opened up for Aname.

Just finished listening to Andre 3000s new album "New Blue Sun". I have to say I really enjoyed it. Start to finish. Its been a long time since I listened to an album in its entirety and unlike what we would have "expected" the Outkast sound, this definitely was a true display of an artist that has evolved and feels enough freedom to explore what they are feeling creatively without the influence of what people expect from them.

I highly recommend giving it a listen with either a proper set of monitors or higher end headphones for a truly immersive experience.

My heart feels for all of the innocent Palestinian victims of the terrorist IDF and my heart also feels for the innocent Jewish people that have lost their lives because of BOTH the horrendous acts of terrorist Hamas and the continued acts of apartheid by the Right Wing Israeli government.

The biggest hypocrisy in what we continue to witness in Occupied Palestine is that those who were once victims of genocide have become the perpetrators of genocide.

Not only that, the one sided media coverage shown in is biased and is exactly what I would expect from agenda driven “news” agencies.

If you can have empathy for one side after an unthinkable act, and not have empathy for the the continued suffering of the other side which has resulted increased feelings of hopelessness as the world sits in the comfortable chairs with little regard.

It’s OK to stand against the Israeli right wing government and support the Jewish people. It’s OK to stand against any acts of terror, committed by Hamas, and support the Palestinian people.

How will all of this be solved? Who knows. But without equal treatment, equal rights, equal media coverage there will never be peace. Only more deaths of innocent people on both sides.

If you disagree that is your right. And I welcome any respectable open conversation. I get those who want to be silent about it. It’s not their issue so why bother, the only problem is if we continue to be silent, these things continue to repeat themselves in history: N**i Germany, Apartheid South Africa, the list goes on and on.

After respectfully listening to your concerns, I want to share with you that we are bringing back the perpetual plugin license model, side-by-side with the new subscriptions. You will again be able to get plugins as perpetual licenses, just as before.

In addition, those of you who already own perpetual licenses will once again be able to update your plugins and receive a second license via the Waves Update Plan—again, just as before. This option, too, will be available alongside and independently of the subscription program.

We are currently putting all our efforts into making perpetual licenses available to you again, as quickly as possible. In the meantime, you can keep up-to-date on this news page: https://www.waves.com/news/perpetual-waves-licenses-are-back where we will post the latest updates on perpetual license availability.

My first experience with electronic music came to me listening to some music on an Sony mp3 player back in the 9th grade. It was the vibrant lyrics and tone of spoken word vocals over ’s massive tune “No Sleep”. I listened to that record daily and became hooked to sounds I hadn’t experienced in my previous 14 years of life.

The past few years we’ve lost so many pioneers in the dance community and I can’t help but wonder what my life would have been like had I not shared listening to that track that one day back in grade school.

RIP Maxi. You’re sounds have shaped the world and I thank you for sharing your gift with us all. Now you can get the sleep you deserve. 🙏🏾🎛️🎚️🎧
