That’s how ToneDef describes himself as a DJ. Having lived through the eras of Punk, Mod, New Romantics and the birth of electronic music, his insatiable desire to explore new and different genres has never dwindled, coupled with his need for a good party!
“When I was about thirteen me a

nd my mates would always be going to house parties and play our music, and if there were no parties, we club together and rent the local scout hut, borrowing roadwork lights to create that club effect. ToneDef finds ways to incorporate the best of current dance music with legendary tunes and acapella’s of the past and regards Fat Boy Slim as the master of the mix.
“I never though myself good enough to create my own music so I would take the best parts of other artist songs and fuse them together. I’m passionate about mixing. When I listen to music, I’m thinking about mixing it with another song, changing the tempo or even playing it backwards! You get deep, wrapped up and even lost in a good song, there needs to be a beat and it needs to make me feel like I’m alive.”
ToneDefs love of all genres of music and a strong desire to partying make him the perfect DJ for any event as his enthusiastic nature soon becomes infectious coupled with a strong beat… you just gotta dance!
“All types of House music are probably my most favoured genre, it just depends on my mood. I like to play different genres so I don’t become pigeon holed. It also keeps me fresh as a DJ.”
