To pull this look off, I foraged natural elements from the forest around us such as natural pampas, branches, and dried golden rod (or Solidago). Those elements mixed with the snow and wind create a lot of motion and texture within this piece. I wanted to create something uniquely moving and romantic and temporary as a metaphor for fleeting love. Snow doesn’t serve any functional purpose in hydrating the roses, in fact freezing temperatures will dehydrate and wilt your blooms faster. It purely served as the structure and the base for this piece. Kind of like the lessons we learn from heartbreak. I hope you all enjoy this piece as much as I do. It was such an exciting opportunity to show off some of my more nonconforming and creative ideas with floral design. Experimenting with some Sustainable Korean style wrapping. 🌏 Instead of the traditional Korean paper, which is made of plastic, I used Kraft paper instead to create a more environmentally friendly option and optimize the boho look I was going for with this bouquet. Korean style paper is beautiful and comes in so many different colors and styles, but the best part about it is how versatile it can be.
