We've tricked out a vintage 1946 Ford Fire Truck with favorite, Serendipity Homemade Ice Cream and novelties and blazed the trail for the local food truck scene. We’ve developed quite a following and these days you can find us at Food Truck Fridays in Tower Grove Park and in Citygarden most weekdays, or popping up at private parties. So, the next time you see us, pull over, grab a rich, creamy cup or cone and taste why we’re the hottest ice cream truck on wheels.

History

We're often asked about the history of the Fire & Ice Cream Truck. This Ford Truck was manufactured in St. Louis in 1946 and served for 10 year in Albion, Illinois as it's first motorized fire truck.

In 2005, it was purchased on Ebay by artists Scott and Stephanie Pondrom, who, along with mechanic, Andy Clem, redesigned and rebuilt it to become the first Food Truck in the city of St. Louis.

The Food Truck is now owned by Beckie Jacobs. Beckie Jacobs is the owner of Serendipity Homemade Ice Cream. Beckie establised her local creamery in 2003. It is located in Old Orchard in the heart of Webster Groves, Missouri.
