Why hire Day of Coordination for your Wedding Day?
There are a multitude of reasons but I’ll tell you a few good ones.
Firstly, a Wedding Coordinator differs from a Wedding Planner in the sense that they step in a few months prior to the big day to focus on logistics/ organization and everything planned thus far, opposed to a Wedding Planner that deals with the overall design/theme/ vendor recommendations etc.
1. The Ceremony. It’s a big important part of the Wedding and you want to make sure it runs perfectly. It’s best to have someone coordinate so everybody involved in the processional knows exactly when to start walking and they know exactly where they need to be. You will need someone to communicate with the DJ/ Music Talent to let them know everything is about to begin! There’s a lot of moving pieces!
2. Let’s face it. You don’t want to be doing any kind of work on your Wedding Day. You should be relaxing and taking in the beauty of it all. It’s much easier to have someone working behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly, putting out small fires if necessary and making sure that the timeline is on track.
3. With that being said, leave the timelines to a professional. I know, I know, you are super organized and may be up for the challenge. But seriously, it’s better to have someone who has been involved with multiple weddings and has a firm grasp on timelines, realistically mapping out how long everything takes in a day. When should florists arrive? What time does everything need to be set up by? How much time in between speeches to ensure dinner is served promptly? These are some of th ways that a Wedding Coordinator to help assist!
Here at This Love & Co. we offer Day of Coordination which starts 8 weeks prior to your Wedding Day! If you’d like additional information please feel free to reach out! Always here to help!
