Andrés Flórez is a Colombian DJ and producer of genres such as Deep, House & Techno, owner of the Cat Angry label and head of one of the most influential Colombian collectives "Between Us". His career began in 2009 under the name of Andres Florez, producing tribal sounds, but always focused on house music. In 2011, he pressed his first work in the Brazilian label "This Beat Re
cords". From that moment on, his career was directed towards the professionalization of his sound. Therefore, in 2013 he changes his aka to AFM Groove, where he focuses on the exploration of tech house sounds. From this point his career takes a big leap, as he manages to press on labels such as the legendary Nervous Records, Patent Skillz, Vamos Music and S**a Records to name a few. He worked with artists such as Eddie Amador, the famous house singer Ultranate, in addition to achieving a Top 100 position in stores like Beatport and Traxsource in the House and Tech House genre. His music has been supported in big festivals by djs like Stefano Noferini [Square Club - Dubai], Alan Fitzpatrick [Awakenings Festival 2016] Stanny Abram, Rio de la Duna, Alaia & Gallo, Blue Tone boy, Ace Paradise among others. By 2015, he changes his stage name again and defines the acronym of his name as his new aka "AFM". Under his new name, he has established himself as one of the great references of the house scene locally and nationally in recent times, since with his music he has reached major labels worldwide as House Cookin' Records, with which he reached the top100 in the Deep house genre in the Beatport store with the two tracks of the release, and received great support by great artists including Steve Bug. He has had the opportunity to perform in countries like Mexico and Aruba. Nationally he has performed in cities like Bogota, Cartagena and Andalucia, and has been part of major festivals such as Techno Garden Festival 2022 [Rionegro], Freedom Festival 2019 - 2021 [Medellin], Storyland Festival - 2016 [Cartagena], La Solar Festival 2,017 - 2018 [Medellin], where he has been able to share the stage with some international artists such as Seth Throxler, Dubfire, Jamie Jones, Apollonia, Lexlay, Richie Hawtin, Fedde Le Grand, Felix Da Housecat, among others. Locally he has performed in the most important clubs in the city of Medellin such as Salón Amador, Calle 9, Terraza Club, Sonorama, Imagineland, Viuz Club, MAD Radio Medellin, Vintrash, and in the extinct Mansión Club, Club 1984, Mute Medellin, consolidating him as one of the strongest artists of the circuit. Andrés Flórez es un DJ y productor colombiano de géneros como Deep, House & Techno, dueño del label Cat Angry y cabeza de uno de los colectivos colombianos más influyentes “Between Us”. Su carrera inicia en el 2009 bajo el nombre de Andrés Flórez, produciendo sonidos tribales, pero siempre encaminado hacia la música house. En el 2011 prensa su primer trabajo en el sello brasilero “This Beat Records”. Desde ese momento encamina su carrera a la profesionalización de su sonido. Por ello, en el año 2013 cambia su aka por AFM Groove, donde se enfoca en la exploración de sonidos tech house. Desde este punto su carrera da un salto grande, ya que logra prensar en sellos como el legendario Nervous Records, Patent Skillz, Vamos Music y S**a Records por mencionar algunos. Trabajó con artistas como Eddie Amador, la famosa cantante de house Ultranate, además de lograr posicionarse en Top 100 en tiendas como Beatport y Traxsource en el género House y Tech House. Su música ha sido apoyada en grandes festivales por djs como Stefano Noferini [Square Club – Dubai], Alan Fitzpatrick [Awakenings Festival 2016] Stanny Abram, Rio de la Duna, Alaia & Gallo, Blue Tone boy, Ace Paradise entre otros. Para el año 2015, cambia su nombre artístico nuevamente y define el acrónimo de su nombre como su nuevo aka “AFM”. Bajo su nuevo nombre, se ha consolidado como uno de los grandes referentes de la escena house a nivel local y nacional en los últimos tiempos, ya que con su música ha llegado a grandes etiquetas a nivel mundial como House Cookin’ Records, con la cual alcanzo el top100 en el género Deep house en la tienda Beatport con las dos pistas del lanzamiento, y recibió un gran support por grandes artistas entre ellos Steve Bug. Ha tenido la oportunidad de presentarse en países como México y Aruba. A nivel nacional se ha presentado en ciudades como Bogotá, Cartagena y Andalucía, y ha hecho parte de grandes festivales como Freedom Festival 2019 [Medellín], Storyland Festival - 2016 (Cartagena), La Solar Festival 2,017 – 2018 [Medellín], donde ha podido compartir escenario con algunos artistas de talla internacional como lo son Seth Throxler, Dubfire, Jamie Jones, Apollonía, Lexlay, Richie Hawtin, Fedde Le Grand, Felix Da Housecat, entre otros.
