After having photographed over 500 weddings ( and counting), I learned a few things about weddings.....
indeed, a wedding day should be about Love, Happiness and Friendship..
Sometimes, a wedding day is about a groom who can’t stop crying at the ceremony ( it happened!!)
Sometimes , it is about a bride who stresses out a little when getting ready or a bridesmaid who thinks she knows a lot about photography because she has the latest Iphone...
A wedding day is about all these little things!
A wedding day will never be “perfect”..but it still will be pretty close to perfect!
let me repeat : A wedding day is not a styled photoshoot !
90% of the time, the weather won’t be that perfect breezy overcast day!
You will be sweaty and your hair won’t be perfect when the ceremony is over!
And that is what a wedding day is about!!
A wedding day is about people getting together, dancing , drinking and eating..Having fun!!
A wedding day is about the bride and groom loving each other and interacting with their families and guests.
You should not be spending hours doing portraits, waiting for that perfect light or sunset...
30 to 45 minutes should be the maximum time allowed for those posed photos
So yes, from time to time, I might “rush” family portraits, but only because I believe that people should spend more time enjoying the wedding day than listening to my stupid jokes for hours!
This is why I would like to view myself as a wedding observer!
I am here to observe and report the day as a candid manner, just the way that I do see it.
just like a storyteller...but using photography instead of a pen.
Therefore , if you are looking for a wedding photographer who emphasizes candid photos and fun during your wedding day , then I am the photographer that you need!
However, rest assure that I will still do portraits that your parents and grandparents will love :)
