Had a blast playing tunes at Main Street Nevada, IA trick or treat this evening! Lots of high fives, hugs, and pics taken with kiddos made it worth losing half my body weight in sweat inside that costume. 😂

Last night was off the charts AMAZING celebrating Trevor and Emily. When they asked last year at another wedding if I’d travel 2 1/2 hours to Cherokee to play their wedding, the answer was an immediate yes. Such a sweet couple, and their friends and family showed up and stayed at it all night, for over five hours of open dance. Also great to see Andy and Sarah, and Lane, without whom I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to experience last night. Congrats to the Stevensons!

It’s not often you get to play for a bride who’s already in your Facebook business page cover photo from another wedding. 😁 Also so great catching up with Olivia and Alex, and Dillin and Laura - two of the couples I’ve had the opportunity to work with in the past. Those kind of nights are special, and a great reminder of why I love doing what I do!

How “U Can’t Beetus” Came To Be

Thanks for checking out U Can’t Beetus Entertainment as you look for DJ services for your wedding or social event. After several years of DJ experience, I decided that in 2018, I would make the jump into owning my own business. There are many options out there, so a brief pitch for why I should earn your business: I pride myself on providing a great experience leading up to and during your celebration, and view it as my job to make your event as worry-free as possible while providing a high-energy, memorable day for you and your guests. All of this, while providing competitive pricing.

Why the funny business name? For over two decades, I have lived with type 1 diabetes. If you grew up in the 1990s, think of Wilford Brimley talking about his “diabeetus” in all those old Liberty Medical commercials. As a kid, I attended Camp Hertko Hollow, a camp for kids with diabetes. As an adult, I’ve volunteered for many years as a counselor there as well. For each time I DJ, 10% of the money will be donated directly to the camp. Plain and simple, I’m able to take one passion of mine (music) and use it to help benefit another passion (camp).
