Let me introduce you to THE Bryce Carson.

⚠️ Full disclosure, I love and adore this man - so this post may be a bit biased.

We’ve worked with a lot of wedding vendors. And a lot of planners.

And many of those people are *wonderful* at what they do.

But when we get to work a wedding with Bryce - we are just OVER THE MOON. We know that our couples are going to be so, so well taken care of. We know the details will be immaculate. We know the timeline will stay undisturbed. We know that if anything comes up (freak storms, COV*D outbreaks, extreme heat warnings, huge music festivals next door.. just to name of few) it will be managed and taken care of in the most efficient way possible. But mostly, we know that there will be a wonderful human and friend there with us.

And he is just one part of the incredible team.

Roberts + Co. is celebrating 15 years of being in business today. And while we couldn’t be there to celebrate with them in person, I didn’t want the day to go by without telling them just how incredible we think they are.

I’m sorry we aren’t there - but I know you will be surrounded by so many vendors who adore you today - I hope you’re each able to soak that in and have the most amazing time.

Nothing drives me crazier than when I go to someone’s website and can’t find these 3 things…⬇️⬇️⬇️

📧 Email: Providing an easily accessible email address on your website makes it simple for potential clients to reach out. It shows that you value communication and are ready to assist them promptly. **I regularly go to websites to try to contact vendors to provide them with photos from weddings and can’t find a way to send them the gallery without filling out a contact form**

📍 Location: Whether you have a physical storefront or not, stating your location helps customers know where you’re based. This builds trust and transparency, making it easier for potential clients to find you. It’s great if you travel, but clients should be able to see your starting point. Make sure that you have locations that you serve as well as where you are based clearly listed.

🛍️ What You Do: Clearly stating what products or services your business offers is essential for attracting the right audience. Make it easy for visitors to understand what sets you apart and why they should choose your business over others.

By prioritizing these key elements on your website, you’ll not only enhance user experience but also increase the likelihood of turning visitors into loyal customers.

Thanks so much for all the sweet messages yesterday. ❤

Surgery went well. I had my second wrist fusion- a pretty straightforward outpatient operation.

My first was over 10 years ago.. on my right wrist just as I was starting student teaching. Not exactly an ideal time to be down an arm.

Now I'm the mother of two toddlers and a wedding photographer who is routinely on my feet.. holding a camera.. for 12 hour wedding days.. so still not really ideal. I guess there is never really a good time to only have the use of one arm.

I've had rheumatoid arthritis since I was 15.. so I've gotten quite used to adapting to physically limitations. Luckily modern medicine is incredible *what a time to be alive* and pretty much completely keeps my RA under control.

But after years of my left wrist getting progressively.. not great, it was time to level up to a fusion. It will limit my mobility (but I didn't really have much mobility anyways) and after a couple of weeks of healing, will greatly reduce the pain. So overall it's a great thing.

To our couples - we've reached out already if we think it will even moderately affect your session.. but the more likely scenario is that I'll be doing even better than I would have otherwise.

We’re on day 4 of a 12 day trip to Oaxaca, Mexico.

So far, we’ve realized:

🚫This city is NOT made for strollers.

💦Getting to Hierve el Agua (pictured) earlier in the morning is the right call. 😍😍😍

🥣This city is home to the most amazing mole and mezcal (and maybe have purchased a few bottles to take home already).

🧶Rugs can be an absolute work of art and watching them being made by hand is mindblowing (and maybe also purchased one of those).

We’ve skipped naps, dealt with toddler meltdowns, and struggled to keep our patience with our overtired and overstimulated kids.

It’s not always the easiest to travel with kids. And maybe on our next work-cation we’ll leave them at home so we can be a bit more productive.

But so far it’s been magical.
