My momma and I had a productive day today! 😃

Although we cleaned out all the stakes, mowed down the flowers, and pulled up the landscape fabric, there is still so much to do before winter is here!

I wanted flowers to be the main focal point for my wedding & i had the goal mind to grow all of my own flowers because how cool would that be? So I ordered more seeds, ordered more plugs, started more seedlings, and planted more plants than normal to prep for this goal of mine. Unfortunately, this year had other plans in mind and made it extremely difficult to grow ANYTHING due to weather and animals eating my seedlings. I reached out to my flower farmer friends to purchase some other locally grown flowers! I was able to get an abundance of fresh, locallly grown flowers this way and supported other small businesses in our community. I am still SO proud, amazed, and happy to say that every single flower at my wedding was locally grown by myself & three other growers. How awesome is that?!

Despite this year being my worst, most challenging growing season to date (thanks to the drought, weeds, deer, and groundhogs eating up my plants), I have still had lots of gorgeous flowers!! 💐

Some know that I am getting married next weekend and I’m doing my own flowers. Due to the hardships this year has brought on, I will be skipping next week’s final CSA bouquet and delivering it on September 16 instead to give the flowers time to rejuvenate after a big cut! Please message me if that delivery date does not work for you and I will work around your schedule. Thank you for understanding! 💐🩷😊

Flowers on Paradise Lane coming in clutch this week with some gorgeous dahlias + eucalyptus! I am just not a dahlia grower apparently. I haven’t been successful growing dahlias in the last 4 years. 🙃
