This is the 1st time sharing my craft of DJ'ing in a highschool classroom setting.
Thank you to the school and parents for including this in the program!
A big thank you to the 42 students that attended! 🎧
- There were 2 sessions approx. 70-90mins each
- These were beginner level workshops
- Students learnt about the history, equipment and some practical side of DJ'ing=
- Goodie bags for each student and a raffle was drawn at the end of each workshop
We used the school's projector and screen, and switched across four channels:
- DJ software screen
- Powerpoint screen
- Camera 1 (birds eye view of the decks, like a cooking show)
- Camera 2 (side profile of student/myself at the decks, picture in picture)
Can't wait to be back again next year! Hope we can extend each workshop too 😊

Yesterday I was invited as a guest for @oneeighty.media's pilot episode of #TheWhiteRoomShow 💛💛. I'm so blessed you had got me to spin at your reception party. That was fun!
I'm very excited to share my craft and take on dj'ing next month at an independent school in Sydney. At the end of each session the ladies will have some knowledge of the history and purpose of dji'ng, experience in counting bars, finding the first beat to drop, beat mix and back-spin. As such this is the certificate of completion I have prepared.
Clean Mics
Let's address the elephant 🐘 in the room. Do venues, AV companies and Djs sanetise their mics? 🎤 I don't know about them but I always do after each and every gig! That's why mine don't smell funky, like an old pub's carpet 🍻, have lipstick 💋 stains, etc. A few weeks ago an international client asked "can you clean this mic?" I had honestly sensed he was testing me and thought I'd say no, so I surprised him by whipping out my #isocol spray 💦 While I don't have the answers to everything in the world that I admit, this is one trivia quiz I can answer quite favourably for all parties ✅
