I was finally able to realise this striking Viking inspired embroidery design that I’ve had on the drawing board for a while and it’s just as stunning as I’d hoped it would be 😍 this style is perfect for expressing your inner shield maiden, whilst retaining an elegant bridal feel ⚔️ 👰‍♀️

Angela recently sent me some photos from her wedding - here are just a couple of them 😍 Angela’s dress was my Eolande style in the wonderful winter tones of wine red with warm silver embroidery, skirt underlining and back lacing. An order from earlier this year where I adapted the sleeves of my ‘Guenivere’ dress for a customer by adding the sleeve style of ‘Zandria’. I loved the results of this mix 🥰

A very wintery and warm toned ‘Eolande’ dress in wine red with warm silver embroidery and underskirt. I love using these alternative colours, especially this time of year ❤️🤍

The remake of this dress style has been so popular since I did it, I really love the fact that as I’m able to change the colours used in the embroidery it can so easily be customised to match anyone’s wedding colour scheme. I’m working on a beautiful colour combination of this embroidery right now 😍

The before and after photos (including my gorgeous friend wearing it at her Mum’s wedding) of the dress I recently transformed the top section of. The dress was a beautiful colour and fabric, and the fit around the waist and legs was just beautiful - but the top part was ill fitting and had too much excess gathered fabric. So I removed it and salvaged the extra fabric from the gathered section to re make a sweetheart neckline with on or off the shoulder gathered straps, boning and strutting to hold the shape and some added bra cups for support😍

✍️ I recently competed this drawing of a very special dog 🐾🥰 ‘Chinook’ was my gorgeous Friends’ wonderful Husky, who sadly passed away at the end of last year. Drawing him felt like such a lovely way to honour his life and the character he was. I’m reminded how powerful creation and art are in the expression of emotion - the making and giving of a piece of art and what goes into it from the heart and soul, can sometimes say more than words ever could ❤️

I had a lovely surprise today when I took delivery of this stunning bunch of flowers, sent as a Thank You from my beautiful friend .chambers.792 for making this stunning green 50’s style party dress for her. I loved making it, and loved seeing her enjoy wearing it even more! ❤️

My thoughtful husband got me a new sketching set. It’s few and far between that I get to do pencil portraits anymore, even though this was my first passion. But I’ve had a chance to try them out this week and I’m working on drawing one of my twin boys. I’m a bit rusty but it’s a technique that’s coming back to me. Starting with the eyes …. Those that know me can test my drawing skills by seeing if they can tell who this is 😉
