Dragon Studio Full Service Photography Service My name is Mike Dragon, I’ve been a photographer for over ten years. I later decided to pursue a degree in photography.

Photography began as a hobby for me and grew into my profession. As a child I used a 35mm film camera and began my first photography courses in High School. Taking the time to learn the science and the history behind the art gave me an even greater appreciation for my work. Out of college I worked for a local photographer as an assistant. I quickly became an editing, producing, designing, and phot

ography expert. Within the team I focused on photoshop and editing software. During this time I learned first hand what it takes to run a photography studio on a daily basis. My photography style is unique and unlike anyone I have seen. I understand the functional aspects of photography and take pride in being able to shoot with a fully manual camera in this technologically advanced age. I can develop my own film and learned alternative processes to make prints with sunlight and mixtures of chemicals in my parents garage. Although I am serious about my business, I take a laid back approach to photography and ensure everyone gets the five star treatment when working with me. Dragon Studio is a personalized experience where I know each client far beyond a business transaction. I promote a fun atmosphere where everyone enjoys the shoot or event I attend.

Someone is SO excited to be a big brother. I had a great time with this family - we walked in the woods, we played on the beach, and they got photos that show this really cool time in their lives.

I think family sessions can be a good mix of posed and fun. Some of my favorite photos from this session are the ones at the end - where everyone is just hanging out on the beach. It's about showing how your family really is - it doesn't need to be about me or what I think your family photos should be.

Raise your hand if youre tired of hearing about this training nonsense! 🙋🏼‍♂️ Trust me, Im getting kind of tired talking about it. But not nearly as tired as I am after all the actual training. Ive never done anything like this before. So this is all completely new. These constant videos are serving multiple purposes. 1. Keeping me accountable. 2. Journaling the entire experience. 3. Showing others that if I can do a hard thing- so can you! So dont mind me as I continue to document the experience.

If youve been following along you know Ive been riding a TON to work up to ride a century. But not just that. Ive also been going to the gym about 3x a week for strength training. So today I decided to do both. Fun fact: I disliked this aspect. Riding with a backpack and bike lock and starting and stopping is annoying to me. Id rather just ride my bike OR drive to the gym I think. But hey, it was worth throwing this in there as an option.

Visited a great record store today @vinyldazerecords and found some great stuff- as usual. I always find great stuff here.

Ive been a photographer for over 20 years and have been working in video for roughly 6-7 years. Sure, theres always an easier way to do things… but this is what its going to take for todays project. Video is a reason I started going back to the gym.

I stopped by @rivercitygraphicsva to grab my new wedding brochures. If you ever need any kind of print work- they can do it! Its fast and quality. Ive used them forever and highly recommend.

Still carrying on. This day was supposed to be about on ride nutrition. How you fuel your body is key to success. Getting this dialed in ahead of time will be big. However, this particular day sucked. It just snowed. And was icy, wet, slushy and cold. Misty had a couple chain drops. Including dropping herself off the bike. I had tech issues forgetting to charge devices. And also extremely cold hands. I think the lesson of nutrition was to bring more protein. I had so many carbs. So next week will be bumping it up to 50 miles. Wish us luck.

Continuing on training for our century ride. The “steady ride” is the third piece of the training trifecta. It’s just a ride to enjoy. No real distance or plan needed. This ride was close to 30 miles or so. Just trying to keep the legs moving and keep the butt in the saddle.

Intervals may be my least favorite riding day of training. But they say its one of the most useful. I will say, aside from being on the brink of over exhaustion it did feel good afterwards and even days after. I can see how doing this every week would build muscle and endurance. Woot. Frickin woot.

Type two fun: the type of fun that is fun to talk about after it happens. Better known as training in the winter. It’s just always cold. And windy. At least that’s how it seems. But it’s all part of the process. And will be worth it in the end.

If you collect records you should definitely have @bohemianamigos in your rotation. Picked up a few solid albums yesterday.

I have some somewhat big news. Big to me anyway. I’ve started training to do a century on my bike with my BFF @mistysavestheday and @3milyannie. A century is when you ride your bike 100 miles in one day. It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a while. So what better time than now. I’ll be giving some updates of the training and rides etc just to mainly keep myself accountable. So if you see me slacking ask why I’m not riding my bike…
