Happy New Year!

I'm wrapping up the transitions to the new year. Business owners, you probably know the drill... finalize the previous year's paperwork, tine-tune plans for the next year, make a list of what you can do in the slower winter months.

It's time for our "Best Of" contest!

These images feature some wonderful connections and moments from our work with seniors, families and businesses this year. It was so hard to pick from all the incredible people we had sessions with, but I'm confident these speak for themselves on personality and connection!

There will be two winners - one for a personal session (group 1-27) and one for a business session (last 1-9). The person with the most votes in each category wins, so be sure to vote and get your family and friends in on the contest!

Officially done with sessions for the year!

What an incredible year it's been. I had more business and senior clients than previous years, several of which were repeat clients. I've gotten to work with two amazing local magazines, got to train at Texas School of Photography again, and even got to keynote at a Women of Waco meeting.

It was also quite a busy year with 167 sessions between my clients, Wacoan shoots and Stroll magazine covers.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this all come together. Thank you to my incredible clients who opened up in front of the camera. And thanks to my sweet family who encourage me along the way.

I've loved being a part of your lives, even if just for a moment. It's beautiful to see how special everyone is individually and together.

Chuck and Christy have been married for 32 years and are a wonderful example of marriage! They have so many stories and experiences together. You couldn't find a more hospitable and kind couple. They are gracious and welcoming to everyone!

Binh An and Chas have been married for almost five years! Hard to believe it's been that long since we celebrated their wedding! Life has taken them across the country where Binh An is working on a PhD and Chas works in cyber security. They still visit Texas and we love it when they do!

Caleb and Makayla are still newlyweds and had their posing down from all their experience over the past year. It was sweet to watch them together and how they interact as a unit.

Always fun to get a family together for photos when they're in one place for the holidays!

I've known the Howard family for several years and love seeing how their lives shift and grow. This is one of the most considerate families you could ever hope to meet. Their smiles aren't forced, they're infectious!

It's Tracey and Geoff's wedding day!

They are probably the calmest bride and groom you could hope to meet. Tracey loves to relax with books and Disney puzzles. Geoff is a renaissance man who loves games and unusual opportunities like jousting.

Marcala looked stunning in everything we put her in, but my jaw probably dropped with how well she pulled off this golden dress.

It was so nice to be a part of the Hill family's photography journey. They hadn't gotten family photos in eight years.

During the planning meeting we looked at what they had before and figured out the best ways to update the images. The frames were custom made by Chris and we took note that most were horizontal images. These are the small little details that can make a difference during a session. We shot for the Hill's needs so they didn't have images that were the wrong size or format for how they wanted to display the portraits.

This sweet family had goofy moments, laughs and lots of puppy snuggles. Every family has their own personality, and I'm honored to watch who they are individually and as a unit.

Dogs are part of the family! Love that the Pirtle family included their sweet pup in these adorable Christmas photos. She sat pretty and got extra snuggles as a reward.

You may have seen Eleanor with Stroll Villages at Twin Rivers or Jeff at the The Texas Collection. This is where you can find them when they're ready to unwind with family.

Been waiting a few weeks to share these photos! Now that it's December and the December edition is out, I can show them to you.

The Taddia family was so kind and fun to work with. You may have seen Evan working at Truett Seminary or Wendy showcasing the newest looks in her store, The Collective. Or you may have seen Ben at school, on the field or in church. This sweet family is active and loves going to the movies, playing with their pups, or simply relaxing with friends.

is a Senior at Mcgregor High School, leads her cheerleading team and is accruing several dual-credit hours before graduation. Congrats on all that you've accomplished, Kinleigh!

She transferred to McGregor High School for her freshman year and has made some wonderful friends the past four years, especially on her cheerleading team.
