👀 🐰🌸🐰👀 Oh hello! I've been kinda quiet but I'm coming out of hiBURRnation ...to go back to school. The boss of bunnies and bad assed beats, aka the Barroness, has invited me to drive the school bus at the 💒 𝗣𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗢𝗠 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 🐣 Easter Edition 🐰 on March 31st.

Gotta say, I love that this jam is happening late aft/early eve - it is a skool night, after all!

🎶 As for tunes, come by earlier to hear Aurorah's multi-instrumental live set - she's awesome! Stay later for more bouncy beats.

🎶 😼 Btw, I'll purrobably play some saucy DnB - and maybe some 2-steppy biz too. Does that sound ok to you? If so, pls come and shake your tail to my set. I'm on at 7ish.

Class will be in session at a sweet venue called Blkspace, which reminds me a bit of the Loft 404 (the OG home of the legendary Sunday Social). I hope that dude is selling patties at the door again... but I digress. 😋

👀 🙀 Here's my PURRspective from the DJ booth at Harvest festival - Arts & music fall celebration last weekend. If I didnt have the pics and video, I would have thought it was a dream 🤩

🙀🙀🙀 About last weekend... WOW! I had the great honour of delivering the opening set for the annual Harvest festival - Arts & music fall celebration at the Screaming Heads stage. What a vibe!

✨🤩✨At one point during my set (and several times over the weekend) i was overwhelmed with awe and gratitude. HOW LUCKY ARE WE to experience this beautiful magic, this wonderful spectacle, the synergy between dancefloor and DJ?

✨💜✨ To be able to participate as a DJ and feel that exchange of love is something I will always remember and be grateful for. THANK YOU to everyone who was there, sharing their sweet dance moves, heart hands and hoots of aPURReciation. Harvest loves you and so do i!

💜😽 A wholehearted THANK YOU to Justin and Angela Stewart for your dedication to executing such a wonderful vision - and of course, for including me on the lineup.

Also sending big love to the many, many crew members who work hard to build the festival and make sure everything runs smoothly for us. I'm also proud to be part of an organization that listens and makes tough decisions (and takes a lot of heat) in order to uphold inclusive values. Thank you.

💜😽💜 On a purrsonal note, I have a knee injury which seriously cramped my style over the weekend, as it limited my mobility and presented some physical and emotional challenges. Thanks to everyone who offered help and friendship when I needed it. You mean the world to me 😻😽😻

💓❤️💛💚💓 This one's for the dub n reggae heads... The spirit and the vibrations of local dub legend KZar (RIP) and the mighty Dub Connection Soundsystem live on at BSMT 254. Let's gather in remembrance, July 21.

A very special where we pay homage to the mighty DUB CONNECTION & its founder the late, great KZar (RIP). 🔥

👁️Before there was BSMT 254, and before there was Higher Heights Hi-Fi (our house sound) the DUB CONNECTION Sound Crew prowled around downtown Toronto with their custom, self-made sound system in tow ... dropping dances anywhere a fearless venue operator or landlord would let them set up shop for the night; in their respectable nightclub, grimy basement, abandoned warehouse or vacant parking lot.

🛠️If the crew's box-builder / technician / electrician THE WOODSMAN could figure out how to get an adequate power draw (legally or not so) ... and if founder and #1 selector KZAR was satisfied with the business arrangement, then what inevitably followed was a night of the most crushing, chest rattling Jamaican Reggae & UK Dub music the lucky attendees ever experienced.

💫KZAR's legendary record collection sounded as it was meant to on those boxes and only the top deejays / mic controllers chatted over the dubs - wordsmiths like the late, great Peter Ranking, Demolition Man, Nkrumah, Ras Yunchie, Brigidier Kingsly and of course, the mighty LORD FURY.

🧨On July 21st we pay homage to those famed dances and, more specifically, to the mastermind behind them - big daddy KZAR - who woefully passed on in 2022.

☄️Torch-bearers GENE REUBEN and VAS, who were entrusted to carry on the Dub Connection Tradition with those very same custom-built speakers and record collection as HIGHER HEIGHTS HI-FI, team up once again with LORD FURY and special guests to remind this city of the vibes that once graced it's scene.

⭐️Whether you were lucky enough to experience them in the past, have only heard stories, or know nothing of which is spoken here, you don't want to miss this dance!
