DJ XTC is one of the select few who was born with the gift of a musical ear, as well as the talent to share it with the world. Neal "XTC" McFarlane is an expert in a wide range of genres, from old school to new school, and has an impressive list of accomplishments to back it up. HIS X·PERTISE

HIS X·AMPLES
DJ XTC hails from Scarborough, ON, which is known for producing many talented DJs. His earliest musical influences include Percy Sledge, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Kool and the Gang, and Kenny Rogers, which he heard playing on his mother's stereo. He earned his stripes as a popular house party DJ in Brampton, Malton, and Mississauga, where he eventually established his own residency. HIS X·PERIENCE
In the 80s, DJ XTC made a name for himself through regular deejaying gigs at various clubs, including
Astrolight, Superstars, The World, NRG, Barracuda, and The Concert Hall. In the 90s, he became known for his long-running radio show, on “Project Bounce," which featured "Red Light Radio," a segment focused on old school, funk, R'n'B, vintage, and slow jams. From 1995 to 2000, XTC took a break from club and party deejaying to focus on his family life but remained relevant on the airwaves through "Project Bounce." He also owned the popular all-ages Club 404 in Brampton, where artists like Maestro Fresh-Wes, Michie Mee, and Redhead Kingpin performed. As an affiliated member of one of the most celebrated urban event promoters, XTC helped bring several US artists to Canada for listeners' enjoyment. HIS X·CELLENCE
As a true guru, DJ XTC has no desire to be known as a mainstream DJ. Instead, he shares his knowledge as a teacher, mentor, and collaborator, fostering a genuine love for and following for the music of our roots. XTC, in conjunction with Hyped Entertainment and United Force, has produced several serial events ("X Marks The Spot," "Tribal Council," "Club 404 Ol Skool Reunion," "New Jack Spring," and "Diggin' In The Crates") dedicated to celebrating vintage sounds across all urban/Caribbean genres from the '60s, '70s, '80s, '90s, and 2000s. These events are now so highly sought after that they will soon be coming to a city near you. DJ XTC is a member of the World Wide DJ Conglomerate FLEET DJs. He also hosts various online radio shows, including "Just Salsa" on Tuesdays at 5 pm and "Freestyle Flavor" on Fridays at 6 pm, both on Latino Mundial Radio, as well as "Late Nite Mix" on Fridays and Saturdays at 11 pm on Fleet RnB Radio, "DJ XTC In The Mix" on Fleet EDM Radio, and "Caribbean Connections" on Sundays at 8 pm.
