GREEN FARINATA is the best wrap you can look for in this hot weather: sun dried tomatoes, rocket, courgette pickle and roasted sunflower seeds into our farinata wrap. The farinata is made with water, chickpea flour and olive oil: delicious, vegan and gluten free. We don’t usually wrap it in Italy, we just eat it with black pepper and olive oil (pic 2) but because were in Bristol we decided to experiment with wraps, and the result is delicious. Have you tried yet? Lunch deals are on on Saturday too!

RED FARINATA is back! Homemade sauerkraut (fermented cabbage) and roasted peppers wrapped into a farinata.
The farinata is originated in Liguria, other versions are called “cecina” (fried, with lemon, into a bread sandwich) in Sicily, “cinque e cinque” (with aubergine) in Tuscany and “socca” in south of France.
Made of chickpea flour, water and olive oil, this delicious gluten free soft flatbread is serve traditionally on its own, dusted black pepper, but when we tried to make wraps out of it the result was fantastic and everyone loved it!
Available to eat in, take away or to be delivered on BARBI, the Bristol delivery service (if you haven’t download the app yet, do it!)

MIXED SALAD appreciation post - summer weather requires summer dishes. Yes, it’s “just a salad”, but even in the simpler things we like to put all the effort and love necessary. Lettuce cut to order, rocket, shallots, red peppers, homemade courgette pickles, pink lady apples, black olives, roasted sunflower seeds and crunchy corns (the best bit for someone), all mixed up with our house dressing. And scarpetta, of course. You can also add feta if you like, which is not Italian but still carry a strong Mediterranean flavour.
Come try it in our new location in st Nicholas street 20 BS11UB or use BARBI app, the Bristol based food delivery service.

We’re finally open. After a grime cold winter serving slices on the street pavement and a tough premise moving, today we finally did our first service at . It is a joy for us to work alongside Stefano, Ollie, Poppy and the rest of the team. Today we tested the kitchen, we spot the weaknesses, we are correcting them. Please forgive us if the menu is limited but this is the only way for us to take care of every single detail before pushing to new levels. The location is prime and we honestly couldn’t ask for a better landing. A long summer is on the way!! Can’t wait to see you all again ❤️. Massive shout out to Carlos for the immense help today in the new environment. And big up to Sam from for the uniform prints and embroidery.

from the 1st of March our shop in Whiteladies road will be permanently closed.
With the lockdown measures in place we have to pause the operations for a while and vacate the venue we’re currently in.
We are positive and hopefully It won’t be long before we find the right place to reopen. Thanks to the lovely Grano Team for the understanding and support during this difficult decision. Thank you for all our customers: you’ve helped us to survive during this cold months outside and on the delivery service. Thanks to Joe and Luciano for ask me to do this thing with them: we’ve rocked hard when we could operate normally.

What is Grano kitchen?

Grano is a ‘grab and go’ Italian kitchen in central Bristol selling home-made, hearty, wholesome, affordable meals between 12 noon and 7pm Tuesday to Saturday. We have a seasonal menu including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free options.

What Grano means?

The Italian word ‘grano’ means wheat – the grass which produces the cereal grain used to make flour. It is the main ingredient in pasta, pizza and focaccia.
